Skyrim @ 120fps bugged?

Post » Tue May 29, 2012 9:11 pm

As the title states, I'm looking for help trying to run skyrim @ 120fps.

When indoors, sometimes objects go crazy flying all over the place by themselves.
When indoors with any water around, I will hear splash sounds like I'm walking in the water when I'm nowhere near it.
When in water, sometimes the water disappears and I fall to the bottom. I move around a bit and the water will reappear and I can swim again.

If I cap frames @ 60fps, it doesn't seem to happen. If that's what it takes to solve it, fine. But I'd like to know if there is a way to run @ 120fps.

I think there are some issues with physics when you have VSync turned off.

Just curious but can't the human eye only detect a fame rate of 60 or less?

On topic: Yes it has to do with V-sync. You'll have to cap your FPS @ 60.

Human eye doesn't operate on FPS so it's hard to say.

Vsync isn't turned off, it's set to 120fps. If I put the preset interval line at 2 instead of 1, it will limit me to 60fps.

I find everything is smoother at 120fps.
