Skyrim and Nifskope

Post » Mon Jun 18, 2012 7:36 am

I'm using the latest version of Nifskope (1.0.22) like all the guides I've found suggest, but for some reason I can't open any Skyrim .nif files. Ones for Oblivion/Fallout work fine, but when I try opening an outfit from Skyrim I get the message

""failed to load file header (version 14020007, 20.2.0.7)""
"failed to load nif from 'C:/Documents and Settings/My Name/Desktop/bodym_0.nif'"

NifSkope isn't a 3d editor, it's focus is being able to see and change the data in the files.
That said, one can import an .obj into it and craft a working file, yes.

Thank you, and yes i know. I just do not know how to do it. I downloaded a niftscripts, python, and all the other necessary components the other day, but then it made me download blender 2.49b. The only kinds of NIFs i could export were to oblivion, fallout3, morrowind, and other games, but no skyrim.
