I don't care what other people play and waste their money on. Ahah they can buy their stupid dlc's and cod4 map packs (Mw2,Mw3,black ops ect) , all i care about is what i play. and i choose to play well polished, fun, immersive, brilliant, fun works of art. (Skyrim,Fallout,Metal Gear Solid,Zelda Ect) When the market dies, ill stop buying new games simple as that. And bust out the NES and Ps2.

The video makes some interesting and debate worthy points, but the language violates our site rating. Feel free to talk about the video here if you've already seen it, but the direct link had to go.

I didn't see the video but tonight I had to fight a tougher Frost Dragon and during that a Sabrecat showed up and the moment the dragon died, a magic anomaly appeared and it took most of my inventory to defeat it....so...yes, Skyrim is completely awesome and is so much better than I ever expected...and my expectations were high. I'm very happy and still having a blast.

Added: Now I've watched the video and I just am so happy that Bethesda follows their own vision.

The video is... (hope I can say it)

How Skyrim Proves The Industry Wrong

It's by Jim Sterling and it's hosted on The Escapist.

Heh, the same happened to Marcurio and me. Had to fight against 2 spriggrans, 2 trolls, 1 wolf and 1 dragon all at the same time. And a bit before that, the game threw at me another dragon, a group of Forsworn and that annoying Boethiah follower...I bet it has something against me or something...(but combats were awesome as hell :D ).

Yeah, he's right about the points in this video and they are good ones.

Unfortunately, "the game industry" is completely right about something else: Making games more simplified, easy to understand (==shallow), and holding the players hand to open the game to a wider audience and make a sell a lot more. Sadly, those things make games boring.

They're also right about: Making sequels instead of starting a new series sells better, is less work, and opens more opportunities to sell more in the future. This isn't -necessarily- a bad thing, but it is a bad thing when too much of the game's content, engine, etc. are recycled, and that's happening pretty often. Of course it's not as bad in Skyrim as in other games, but it does it worse than any previous TES game.

Well I'm glad that stuff doesn't apply to Skyrim...

I'm not sure what Sterling's point was, but man, he is irresistible when he uses the voice.

Great watch ^^
