Skyrim conspiracy. Hinting at DLC?

http://www.reddit.com/r/skyrim/comments/nklj2/you_know_those_runes_on_the_lids_of_the_bug_jars/?sort=top

So yeah, that is the thread that started it all. Someone noticed that there were strange etchings in the jars.

http://www.gameinformer.com/b/news/archive/2011/12/21/skyrim-conspiracy-theory-insects-point-toward-armageddon.aspx?PageIndex=2

And now Game Informer posts an article about how the location of the jars forms into a pentagram. Now there's a theory going on about how it might be a Thalmor plot to erase Humanity from Nirn.

So this might be hinting at DLC where the Dovahkiin has to save the World again from a non-dragon related threat.

I was thinking of a huge war where you take out the Thalmor but this works too.

Someone, alert the Empire.

So the Imperials are the State Alchemists, The thalmor are the Homunculus, and the Stormcloaks are the Ishbalans?

Eh, that doesn't really resemble an alchimist's circle. It's more like a giant summoning circle. The pentagram is used to contain and hold whatever is summoned inside.

So the question is, why is setting up the pentagram and what are they trying to summon?

Either someone on the Dev team was a bit bored....

I want an expansion (or DLC) where we have to deal with an Aldmeri invasion after the conclusion of the civil war and crowning of a new High King.

And real armies btw. These 10 man deals aren't battles, they're skirmishes. MOAR SOLDIERS!!! RAWR

I'm hoping someone makes a mod to fix that small battle feel...

A prince can be summoned by a single person, rather easily. No need to do all of this, even binding a Prince to nirn is easier then this (see trial of Vivec)

:)

thalmor want thier daedra back. like the good ol days of the Ayleids. damn that St. Alessia and her plea to Akatosh!

"But if the Empire should slacken in its dedication to the Nine Devines, or if the blood of Alessia's heirs should fail, then shall the barriers between Tamriel and the Daedric realms fall, and Daedra-worshippers might summon lesser Daedra and undead spirits to trouble the races of men." Amulet of Kings.

well.. that is happening right? lol. would be a perfect set up for some DLC if you ask me. Dragonborn Vs. Daedra Lords.. lets get ready to ruuuumblllle! besides, it would be to much to ask for .. a whole new region to explore.. say Hammerfell or High Rock.. now THAT would be epic, but not gonna happen.. OR.. port this "new" engine into a morrowind re-make. haha.. awsome.

cheers

The Thalmor hate the Daedra, they want their Aedra back (The nine divines - Talos, so basically the 8 the Empire worships in Skyrim) and even that can be argued but let's not make things to difficult here.

Also the quote you posted is directly related to the story of Oblivion... That's been finished.

How about anti-summon? a target for reversing something? most notably here the aim could be to uncreate the populace of Skyrim.
Not only benefiting the thalmor domination effort but also ridding a lot of Talos worshippers in the process.

How then? well perhaps at the center of this pentagram is a source of power. In likeness to the eye of magnus or heart of lorkhan maybe?
The thalmor would use this in conjuction with a corrected dwemer-numidium method to 'uplift' the nord populace back to the first gradient.

Succeeding where the dwemer half-failed, if made possible. :spotted owl:

The eye of Mangus is not in Skyrim anymore, and it's doubtful that it would have the power to destroy an entire race at once. There is just one thing that's powerful enough to do that. The Heart of Lorkhan, now even assuming the Heart is in Skyrim which I find unlikely, then they would still need the profane tools to manipulate it.

And we know that they don't have all three of those things, the likelyhood of them actually manipulating the heart in another way is incredibly small. Not to mention that the study required for something like that would take a great many years with access to the heart.
