I have tried everything I could find on the internet today and nothing helped. I believe its the latest patch that is cause mine and other people's problem. Looks like we will have to wait and see if it remains in the next patch. If anyone knows when the next patch is going to release please inform me.

Same for me only, It seems to be getting worse the more I play. At first i would just lock up and the only way I could get out of the program was to shut down completely. Then it started going to a black screen and the only way out was the same, shut down the system completely, I guess it got tired of all my button pushing cause, now, it just shuts down my system without any help from me. Any ideas on this?

Haven't had one of these (either) since 1.2. Hardware pushed too hard and dying....if not that try a reinstall of the game.

You have given zero information about your system, and haven't described your problem well other than crashing no error.

What were you doing when it crashed? What's your system specs? Etc etc.

Try the fixes in the post in my signature, in the crashing section.

Are you using SKSE version 1.04.08 or 1.04.09? If so, you need to update to 1.04.10. You'll also need to update any SKSE plugins that you're using. Versions 1.04.08 and .09 had errors in them that led to crashing. 1.04.10 fixed that problem, but some SKSE plugins used the code in .08 and .09 that was causing the crashes, so they might cause problems as well. Most people who have posted about decreased stability in 1.4.21 have had their problems resolved by updating SKSE and any plugins. Other than that, you'll have to provide more information if you expect to receive any help.

What is SKSE i'm thinking about buying Skyrim for my PC will steam update to 1.04.10 automatically.

Ok when ever I use my save in mistveil keep and exit to riften it crashes.


I also just tried a new set of files and still exited to desktop. Its not like I have experienced this since I bought the game, it only started to happen just a week ago. However I am unsure when the lastest patch was updated as I was not on my computer or I never noticed it was downloading.

haha the last thing I expected was unclicking the mod I use. In other words no more crashing as of yet.
