Skyrim does not recognize GT 640M graphics card

Hello,

I′d appreciate any help with my issue. I play Skyrim on an Acer M3-581TG with a Nvidia GT640M graphics card and a built-in HD 3000.
When i start the Skyrim Launcher, sometimes he recognizes the Gt640M but then always chooses the integrated graphics card, and i get
miserable framerates.
I have updated to the latest Nvidia drivers (8.17.12.9632) and also Skyrim has the latest Steam update. I tried forcing Skyrim′s TESV.exe to take the
GT640M through the Nvidia control panel, but still nothing. Other games have no problems choosing the right video card.
Also when i deactivated the integrated graphics, Skyrim did not find the other one.
Has anybody similar issue and maybe suggestions?
Thanks in advance for help,

Chris.

You need to manually disable the integrated chip. How one goes about it varies from machine to machine.

And just saw you said you did that. Sorry, my brain is a bit elsewhere right now. :P
