Skyrim doesn't make much sence to me...

Post » Sat Jun 02, 2012 7:47 am

What I don't like about the game is this....

Spoiler
If you kill the Emperor during the DB quest-line nothing in the game changes at all. Barely anyone talks about it and there are no consequences toward you even though tons of guards and other people know it was you. (or at least they should)

Ulfric kills 1 Jarl and suddenly things just got real.

Whole region of Skyrim is changed and he gets an execution sentence.

Makes no sence at all considering that you killed the Emperor of all of Tamriel(?)

It's like Skyrim is Bizzaro World.

You can kill hundreeds of dragons and reunite the empire. You will still go to jail for stealing a potato.

SO REAL.

If only it was the only part where Skyrim fails at making some quasi-proper world reactions...

If only...

Potatoes are people's lives in Skyrim's society. Dragons won't stick for long and everyone knows it. And why would peasants even care who runs things? So long as the potato harvest isn't interfered with at all.

If it went for realism I am pretty sure you would be working a monotonous job such as a blacksmith or alchemist. When you burn someone it leaves burn marks that need to be attended to at the hospital. The game is still fun for me

Yeah. I did that quest, guards saw me. I escaped Solitude then strolled right back in and handed them 1,500 gold for my fine and all was dandy.

Seriously?

dont forget the leeks, they also love the leeks more than life itself and they would gladly throw their lives away for a chicken aswell!!

Thats an bad idea...... You want Bethesda to make Skyrim into a roleplaying game now? It can't work like that. You have to understand. Its a game and Just thinking about it.... It doesn't work.

Everything that affects the game doesn't turn out well. Trust me. I know they thought of it through.

Please tell me you were doing some sort of sarcasm.

I blame it gamesas rushing the game's closing development for its special release date. :/

All of the races seem a bit unemersive for the same reason. Playing as an Argonian is wierd. Playing on an Altmer is wierd... And being a Nord is probably the most unemersive of all. I can't recall the person, but he treated my Nord as if I'd never been in Skyrim before... I was born here for Talos sake.
Not to mention, despite the in-game unemersiveness, the main quest only seems right to me if you play as a Nord. A Mer dovahkiin makes no sense to me.

Coin always buys people and it shows how close it is to the real world. You can buy your way into somewhere or with someone and that's true of a lot of games as well.

I remember having Brelyna as a follower when I went into Dwarven ruins.

She somehow ended up dying. (Was not my fault)

And I got banned from the college of winterhold for it.

Or

When you kill someone in town without being seen and the guards still try and kill you.

You might not have been. In Morrowind even if you were a Dark Elf you were summarily informed that you did not hail from Morrowind, no matter how much you wanted to

I'm pretty sure that when I started roleplaying my Nord I was born in the mountains bordering Cyrodiil. I was on a hunting trip when I got captured by those bastards and wheeled in to Helgen.

EDIT: They should've considered putting in a variety of race-specific speech cues, so that people playing different races get a more unique experience. I'm not claiming that the game is entirely void of this, but as I said above, race emmersion seems extremely overlooked.

"[censored] logic" - Bethesda

I'm loving this game, but it fails in so many areas. Oblivion didn't have this many problems.

You know what doesn't make sense? Khajiit being a playable race when there are none in the cities.

Oblivion had its share of logical fallacies. Some made for great parodies on YouTube. I see that Skyrim is already inspiring quite a few.

It makes no sense at all. It should have had massive consequences, but instead it changes nothing. Huge letdown.

Great job, Beth! Keep up the awesome job! :vaultboy:
