Skyrim Drug's

Anyone think a DLC involving an illegal drug ring across Tamriel would be interesting? Like you would either be heroic and work to destroy the organization. Or, of course, become the Tony Montana of Skyrim.

The Skooma Chronicles? Could be fun, but as a topic for a game, probably not going to get past the corporation nannies if they allow the character to become a drug lord.

Uhh, no thanks. They werent exactly cutting cocaine, making crack, growing marijuana, etc. etc. in Medieval times. (Maybe Marijuana, and Poppy plants, but not for the reasons they are grown today) I didnt get skyrim to watch my character get high.

Why is even Skooma illegal in Skyrim? No special effects at all, you don't get drunk/high.

Ritual use of cannabis goes back thousands of years. But no, this DLC idea would never get past the head honchos at the publisher.

Not a reason to hate the idea IMHO. People need to stop thinking of TES as medieval times and think of it as a different world called NIRN with drugs..i.e. Skooma and Moon Sugar.

I don't know about leading a drug ring, but I would like Skooma and moon sugar to be reworked, so that they actually feel like substances that give you temporary boosts but in the end are detrimental to your overall health.

I loved what it did in Oblivion and loved the substances in Shivering Isles. Skyrim? Not so much.

They have been growing and processing moon sugar grass for thousands of years. As well as refining that moon sugar to skooma.

So you're point regarding medieval times is actually nullified by Elder Scrolls lore.

(Other than that. Recreational use of opium, marijuana, coca leaves, quat, mushrooms, frogs, etc, etc, goes back millennia, much much much before medieval times.)

I was really dissapointed that skooma isn't addictive. And why give you everything to make skooma if you can't do it

In terms of game mechanics it's not, but in lore its basically crack in terms of effect and addictive qualities.

The eh Alchemy system, or rather the effects from "drugs" need a revamping tbh. the only thing that does anything is Sleeping tree sap....and that just makes everything purple. Im sad they didn't use more of the screen effects beyond being dragon bacon, wordwalls and scripted events. drinking 42 bottles of honningbrew mead should lead to one hell of a trip imo

i think the sap (which is hist sap, i think, because iv never heard of any other kind of sap that could get you high in TES) should make everything but argonians see all kinds of trippy things, and have the effect weakend since it does not have much of an effect on argonians

Always wanted to be a skooma king pin.

In a game about role playing and choice, why not. You should at least be able to get someone else addicted to skooma, mean yes.. But they would be a fairly loyal companion

Yeah... They should bring back a visual effect with skooma. Theres another drink thats illegal something blue? Anyway, this isnt a bad idea.. Like a illegal smuggling ring of liquor... Kinda prohibition esque?

What im realy getting at is a dlc all about drugs is kinda crappy for all the people who A.)don't do drugs b.)morally hate drugs C.) are younger and should not be RPing a drug lord lol.
I wan't to be killing weak elves not getting high... why would you want to do that in a video game.... that's low :yucky:

P.s. Blood for the Blood GOD!!!! :chaos:

Apparently, ever since the Oblivion crisis, the narcotic effects of Skooma and Moon Sugar have been watered down...

Sleeping Tree Sap, on the other hand....while it's apparently legal in Skyrim, it does seem to make your player character "trip out" when using it...

Maybe when the Creation Kit finally comes, someone can mod in the proper narcotic side effects of Skooma & Moon Sugar...

I just feel as if in a role playing game such as this one it wouldn't hurt to have powerful drugs. And if nothing else i think they should have a physical effect on your character. Like your face is all droopy or something lol

I'd rather have an effect from excessive alcohol consumption. That'd be a nice touch.

Maybe a new faction that's pushing Skooma by working with the Thieves guild and The Assasin's Brotherhood? After the final quest you can continue to spread illegal drug trade even more.On the flip side, you could work to bring down the illegal drug trade and act as a police force. Once the questline is finished, you can take investigation jobs to hunt down drug dealers.
