Might want to set your difficulty from Epically Matrix mode down to the default adept....

Joking aside... i have ZERO idea what that is... i don't know of ANY console command or setting that can be manually set to either speed up or slow down animation/movements/etc.

I did a quick google search and drew some blanks mostly....

I could see that being nearly impossible to win a fight let alone aim with bow and arrow to a hit a target.

Elucidation:

Every time I log in, my character moves as if fast forwarded in a DVD -Player. The same is true for anything else in Skyrim. Everything is sped up!

Do you have any mods installed, these are basically the details required, something has affected your game and without knowing what you have done no one can help.

Runningbear: no mods installed, not one. Re-installed drivers, updated the game, ran the game as admin, re-installed the game, to no avail.

~Show Timescale returns 20? If not, ~Set Timescale to 20. That GLOB's value will persist in your save which could explain why reinstalling didn't fix it.

time scale is 20, re-installed the game a 2nd time, still, everything moves too fast, like speed hiccups. The acceleration gets worse when I play longer. Back to my boring, dull life then "sigh"

Since you didn't mentioned if you deleted .ini files or not.

Make sure iFPSClamp= is not set at anything over 0, this setting does indeed cause the problem you have ie: @30 the game runs at double speed.

iFPSClamp=0 is the default value and is not added in the .ini files by the launcher or the .exe so you'll have to add it if it's not there, to make sure it's not using any other setting.

Which .ini? skyrim_default or skyrimprefs? Changed / amended both, to no avail. The dragonborn will not come for me....*insert sobbing sounds here*

No, still running. It seems as if the time counting routine is affected. Time elapses faster in my skyrim, most definitely

Yeah. It tested this and set it to 1 and the game went crazy (super-speed). removed the setting and all good. I don't know then. The problem must be something else, maybe hardware acceleration. try using fpslimiter http://www.gamespot.com/forums/topic/26943828
and search for game runs too fast on google. got me a couple of seemingly relevant results. it seems to be related to the cpu.

HEUREKA!

Pressing Ctrl + Prnt Screen slows it back down. Why? I do not know!

Solved!

Ready to be closed!

EDIT: I have found the culprits, the ones to be held responsible for this outrageous act of meddling with my key-board: My two 12 week old kitten. They are to be smitten and cuddled to death :bunny:

Now, I speed up and all for a sudden I slow down again. Never mind. Close the thread.

console: sgtm 1
Try it, that's a float number so things like .5 or 5.0 or whatever will work too. This value modifies the over all running speed of the game engine. I used it to screw with things and earlier today this resolved a situation where someone had the opposite where the game was running at roughly half speed.

The OP sounds like an old problem with AMD X2 processors so I gonna ask: Do you have the dualcore driver/optimizer installed?
http://support.amd.com/us/Pages/dynamicDetails.aspx?ListID=c5cd2c08-1432-4756-aafa-4d9dc646342f&ItemID=173&lang=us (driver)
http://support.amd.com/us/Pages/dynamicDetails.aspx?ListID=c5cd2c08-1432-4756-aafa-4d9dc646342f&ItemID=153 (optimizer)
The AMD Dual-Core Optimizer can help improve some PC gaming video performance by compensating for those applications that bypass the Windows API for timing by directly using the RDTSC (Read Time Stamp Counter) instruction. Applications that rely on RDTSC do not benefit from the logic in the operating system to properly account for the affect of power management mechanisms on the rate at which a processor core's Time Stamp Counter (TSC) is incremented. The AMD Dual-Core Optimizer helps to correct the resulting video performance effects or other incorrect timing effects that these applications may experience on dual-core processor systems, by periodically adjusting the core time-stamp-counters, so that they are synchronized.

I think I have the same problem.....

After playing for a while my character will move in a super fast jumpy fashion.

For example: I press the W key and my character will move 5 or 10 feet rather than a foot or so.

Restarting the game will not clear this problem. Restarting the computer will clear the problem.

Before shutting down, (using the Win XP auto shutdown/restart feature), XP will often (but not always) give an error that the screen shot manager is not responding and I click on the manual shutdown buttton to kill the screen shot manager.

No mods, no changes to any game files. Loaded the game from official game disk and updates/patches are from Steam site.

PC, Win XP (all updates), AMD BE-2400 cpu, XFX Radeon HD6770, latest drivers for everything from official web sites for motherboard, video card, etc. 700 watt Corsair "Gamer" power supply, all heat sinks free of dust, cooling fans running, case open so no heat build up, no overclocking or system "tweaks".

Radeon Catalyst, be it on or off, doesn't help with this problem.

No matter what video mode, from low to ultra, this problem happens. Playing while connected to the internet or in local mode makes no difference. Firewalls and anti-virus on or off do not affect this problem.

.......A side note, disabling auto updates, I followed the procedure reccomended on the Steam site, (except for Steam of course! lol ) helped a LOT with my CTD's. I still get them but no where near as often as before.
