Hey guys I need some quick advice. Some of you probably know that Diablo 3 is releasing on the 15th, I'm eagerly looking forward to it. However, Steam has put Skyrim up for sale this weekend and I've always wanted Skyrim for the PC (I already have it on the Xbox, but I know it's better on the PC). So... Should I wait for Diablo 3 or get Skyrim for the PC? Also, will my PC be able to run it? It's specs are:

I7 2600k Quad Core Processor (2.4Ghz)
Nvidia GTX 460M (About 4GB of Video Card Memory)
8GB of Ram

If you already have Skyrim on Xbox, my recommendation is to save up your money unless you are really into using mods.
And believe me, searching and playing with mods for an Elder Scrolls game in itself is a very enjoyable activity. I call it "Excessive Compulsive Moderitis"

My recommendation is to buy Diablo 3 first and enjoy it, and once you're done with it (provided you're not the hardcoe type who wanna keep grinding for gear)
Dawnguard should be out for the PC and i think there will probably be another Skyrim sale too.

Just my 2 cents.

edit: WIth regards to your PC specs, you should have little problem in running vanilla skyrim or even playing with mods.
You might wanna get a beefier gfx card if you wanna extreme mod skyrim using ENBs to almost photographic epic movie like quality.

I'm not comparing them, I'm well aware of their differences. I'm just simply asking for some advice as to whether or not I should save up for Diablo 3 or grab Skyrim while it's on sale.

There will be other sales for skyrim + you have it already. Ontop of that the DLC will come to XBox first

I say go for Diablo 3.

if you already have skyrim for xbox go for diablo, you'll get the dlc a month early and you can get the pc version when they're all out and you can get the game for cheaper anyway that way you can mod whatever they didn't fix in the dlc and patches

Well, you should ask yourself this. Do I want the amazing fast paced action of Diablo III? Or do I want the awesome open world adventure of Skyrim? Both great games, whatever grabs your taste more is the one to get first, and eventually if not soon, get the other one, either way you win.

If you already own skyrim wait for the GOTY edition comes out and that gets discounted. I will be using mods to play skyrim for years to come probably with months to year long breaks in between just as I have with morrowind since it first came out.

Alright I guess I'll be waiting for Diablo 3 then, I just hope that the Skyrim GOTY edition will come soon because I was stupid to get it for Xbox...

Better off with Skyrim for realism and fun, dont think Diablo III will be that much fun unless you completely into hack and slash. Beside if you want can wait til Guild Wars II, it look promise MMO, most likely would be better than Diablo III.

I would certainly pick Skyrim since you can play by yourself offline, and you don't have to fork out real money to get ahead.

This is best. Get everything else you want to do out of the way first before sitting down to play a TES game.


You can play by yourself in Diablo as well. And get ahead of what/who? Is there some competition I don't know about? Wish there was.
