Skyrim Game jam content

Post » Fri Jun 15, 2012 7:23 am

We've already seen and heard some of Bethesda's Game Jam content making it into Skyrim, mounted combat, Vampire lords and perk trees for Lycanthropy but what else in your opinion would you like to see in-game from the Game Jam?

I think Seasonal Foliage would be really really good! And also I hope they would add Snow Footprints!

Werebears replacing werewolves completely. >.>
Alright, some people would be annoyed by that, but I really think that the Companions should have been werebears. It's far more suitable for TES law, as they're supposed to be the most common werebeast in Skyrim. Not to mention that the Companions are meant to embody strength, and wolves seem to me like too agile a choice. Werebears would be much more suitablem I think.

And seasonal changes would be nice, even if it's purely an aesthetic option, and I'd like to see Spriggans change colour depending on the season. ^^ Along with the snow footsteps that's been mentioned about.

And the giant mudcrab. Because giant mudcrab.

Darker Dungeons, Seasonal Foliage, Water currents in dungeons, snow footsteps, water arrows, bandits relighting torches... As a matter of fact, add all of it!

Oh of course! Giant Mud Crabs would be awesome! And also Darker dungeons, because we really have no use for torches and mage light right now... And I think the dungeon enchantments would be also good!

I'd like them to work on more new stuff rather than continue taking from GameJam personally.

I want the ability to become a Were-bear, all the dungeon enhancements, Seasonal foliage and the ability to create your own home from scratch.

I'd like them to work on more new stuff rather than continue taking from GameJam personally.

Not everything in Dawnguard is Gamejam - Armoured Trolls, Gargoyles, Soul Cairn+everything within, Crossbows (iirc only spears were in Gamejam) etc.

Personally, I want to see a bit of both - the Gamejam stuff and entirely new stuff. After all, if they put no more Gamejam in we'll never get spears D:
...not that we're likely to as fitting them into the existing game could be awkward with perks and such...

The whole point of Gamejam was to see if they could find new things that work in the world of Skyrim.

If they find things that work well they're likely to be made into DLC, which means that Gamejam was successful.

Werebears. They're supposed to be the most common Lycanthrope in Skyrim.
The Werewolf could be a highly mobile DPS/Glass Cannon (They can dish damage out fast, but not take it). The Werebear could be a slow, lumbering Tank that can barrel right through a crowd and knock them out of the way (As seen in the GameJam video), while being able to mitigate a crapton of damage (Hehe, that steel arrow in my thick hide tickles) while dishing out high damage per hit, but swing slower than the Werewolf. One of the Werebear Finishers could be where he wraps his arms around an NPC in a bear hug, then breaks their back with it. Or he just grabs them and literally bites their head off. The Werewolf would be more suited to taking on a single creature and killing it quickly, while a Werebear would be more suited to taking on an entire town or dungeon.

Building your own home, (having to get all supplies and such so how much effort depends on what house you get, get a bit of wood build shack, get tonnes of evrything build a awesome castle.) and a skeleton butler.

The fire and ice arrows looked good but they would need shock arrows aswell..

Not like that would be horrifically overpowered or something.

Basically.

Far more suitable for Skyrim's rugged environment, I think. Far more brutal and aggresive.

I don't really care for new content when there's no reason to play trough it except for it's own sake. It's kinda fun yes, but I'd much rather see current/new content actually get a good framework of stories/characters/choices.
