Skyrim is getting boring. What to do?

Post » Fri Jun 22, 2012 1:53 am

I've done all of the main quests i believe, at least the big ones like thieves, dark brotherhood, companions etc. and most of the minor quests too.. I've unlocked all shouts and are at level 80. I got 400k gold and bought all houses, but i haven't decorated the Solitude house due to people saying it's so buggy. (Waiting for a update to fix it, then i'mma move in). Currently staying in Winterhold.

I've spent all my perks also.. And yeah, done pretty much everything in the game.
I'm also on Xbox 360.

Any suggestions on what to do? :P

You could start a new character and focus on different areas and abilities. Although perhaps before doing that you want to take a break, perhaps clean your palette with a different game, and then come back and start a fresh character when Dawnguard is released.

Donner is right. I did most of the quests as well on my 1st toon. Except for the DB and thieves. Left those two quest lines for purpose built characters. Anyway i played some of the Witcher 2 then got homesick for ES.

Why not be a hunter gatherer? A farmer? A pilgrim? A murderer? A mill worker? Just a few suggestions. If I was you I would just kill everyone and start again with a different race with a good backstory.

Play another game. That's what I do when I start to get tired of my current game. Just come back in a month or so.

You know I thought exactly the same thing for my size, so what I did I just wandered through the wilderness of Skyrim exploring any location I hadn't visited yet in the end by sheer coincidence I contracted vampires disease as a werewolf (wtf!) and couldn't cure it so In the end everyone tried to kill me... I occasionally go on that save to see if I can survive but I started afresh and am now 54 and I'm quite enjoying it... maybe try turning the difficulty up?

My main character uses stealth to assasinate bandits and such, but i almost never kill people in towns. Only guy i killed so far is that black guy telling me to go to the cloud district. God, i hated that guy. Rudest [censored] ever. :S

I can probz try to be a hunter though, any suggestions how to do it, and where?

I've thought of it, but not yet. Not that motivated for a brand new game.

Play another game as it sounds like you're done with the game, at least until Dawnguard is released.

Get to level 81, explore and clear areas you find, work on achievements you haven't gotten (if there are any), start a new character, trying play a different play style with your main (like a warrior using magic only).

I haven no other game to play, except playing on my Minecraft server, which is also getting kinda boring. ^^

Try searching threads on the forum with "boring" in the title and read the suggestions made in those (many similar) threads?

Depends on what entails with Dawnguard.... if its just quest of Vampires sound like it might be 5 or 6 hours of distraction. If it adds to the world maybe you can spend the rest of the year playing Skyrim. Also have you explored every nook and crany of the world ? Just do a walkabout and see what happends.

Buy the Humble Indie Bundle- Psychonauts, Limbo, Super Brothers, Amnesia and, if you're not stingy, Bastion. All of these games are great and you're money goes to charity. Then once you're done, come back to Skyrim, download Dawnguard, start a new character and the whole experience will seem fresh and new and fun again.

Play Fallout

Or Oblivion. Haven't played that for ages. You could also try Morrowind if you haven't already.

I agree stop playing, but honestly a lot of people come on here say its getting boring. I think its because of their playstyle. I think you guys make it boring because you play it in a boring typical manner.

On the new character note youl have fun. I made sure to do the destroy the dark brotherhood quest one game and do the guild on another. I did both sides of the civil war despite them both being basically the same the same thing. find every location in the game. And of course, older bethesda games wreck the world. Oblivion is fun. I think Morrowind would actually drive you to insanity. Borrow a computer copy of it and try modding it til dawnguard comes out(can be applied to morrowind and oblivion. There is even a Morrowblivion game thats a oblivion mod to be morrowind.). And if you end up feeling depressed about this problem then just eat some bacon. Everyone likes bacon.

Try out Dragon's Dogma. A decent game despite its flaws.
Just don't fall for Capcom's dlc tactics.
