Skyrim Grass wave glitch

Post » Thu May 31, 2012 8:05 pm

Hello everyone I was wondering if anyone else has encountered this weird wavy grass glitch. It only started to occur last night and i did the checklist of different settings. Nothing seemed to work and I've come here for help. I have a video on youtube that will show you what the problem is.

In the 3rd person perspective it's very prominent and easy to see. First person is a little harder to notice but thats because of the crappy video quality, i assure you that it happens in first person as well. I would also like to note that i have fiddled around with my hardware after this started to occur, everything is locked in their respective slots perfectly, i even gave it a cleaning with my compressor.

Youtube name: wownerdftw
Video title: Skyrim grass glitch

Quick note, you will have to use full screen.

Thanks in advance.

Pick a point on the landscape and stare at it. You will notice a sort of outline pop out.

I have found on a previous thread that water is appearing opaque for some. I'm also having this issue. Im going to try the fix mentioned in the thread and see if it fixes my problem. Here's hoping.

It appears the issue i was having was a problem with shadows displaying correctly on swaying grass. I deleted a d39 file and it appears that the problem has been fixed. Not sure how the underwater issue and this are related but it's fixed and im happy. Thank you Throth for trying to help.

NP and glad you figured it out. I hear alot of issues with that file being present in numerous threads. Is that the ENB? I am very light on mods etc. until the unofficial patch drops.
