Skyrim is kinda...corny...

So I went to do the companions quest were you have to go with Farkas to get the Wuthrad or whatever piece.

And I get to the part where you get trapped behind the gate and the silverhands come out.

So the SilverHands come out and they say...

Silverhand 1:"Which one is he?"

Silverhand 2:"Doesn't matter, if he wears that armor he dies."

I look at Farkas armor and he is wearing plain steel armor.

Have no idea what they are talking about. :ermm:

So he changes into the werewolf and the SilverHands started attacking him.

For like 2 full seconds Farkas just stood there and didn't attack back.

A few SilverHands just fell to the ground without getting hit.

Then Farkas started attacking about 2 of them and they died in one hit.

Then Farkas says "Who's there?"

This game is a bit poorly scripted...

Yeah, I've noticed that. Not sure why he's wearing steel, and not Wolf armor. It'd make all the difference there.

This goes without mentioning that he drops his nice skyforge sword there and can't reequip it. The rest of the dungeon he's wielding an iron sword. It makes it kind of hard if you do this quest in the 20s or something.

On my game that scene played out just fine. Though the way it happened for you sounds like a great B movie.

That's a good point. It's the kind of scene Ed Wood would direct.. just waving off the consistencies and stuff. "Oh whatever. No one will notice."

I thought he was wearing Wolf Armor? That's kind of silly if he's not.

Farkas doesn't wear the wolf armor but Vilkas does.

So is running around as a guy who has speaker-shaped... things on his armor, has a neck thicker than his head, and has an unweildy chainsaw on his gun.

I would be able to. Vilkas is rather lean, while Farkas is a freakin' bear. They are a prime example of the weight slider in action.

"You're like me, eh? Don't fancy those clunky two-handed weapons."

*Checks guard's armaments, notes distinct presence of clunky two-handed weapon*

Srsly... EVERY guard who says this to me has a battle axe or a greatsword strapped to their back.

The reality is, if you applied the microscope to pretty much any game, there are going to be inconsistencies.

I mean, c'mon. Really. I do not have fur growing outta my ears!!!

I've had guards make remarks about my bow, even when I have two swords at my belt.
Then I cast Candlelight at night so I can see, and they say "Whoa, whoa, whoa! Go cast your fancy magic someplace else!"

I never realized that he had blonde hair!

It seems he has been working out too, his pectorals got huge!

Exact same things happened for me three games in a row. I don't see how it could play out any differently for anyone else.
Maybe he should be wearing Wolf Armor?!? Yeah, that might make some sense.

What blows my mind is that almost everyone in Solstheim is aware of werewolves and the need for SILVER weapons. They're everywhere, silver everything. All we ever find on the Silver Hand morons are 1H and 2 H silver swords. They svck, and they're not forgeable or upgradeable! Why can't silver weapons be created or improved? Silver and magic weapons used to mean something.

I did this quest last night on a new character. I didn't look at the armor Farkas was/is wearing, though. He just changed into a werewolf and shredded the Silver Hands.

Lol, after I got back to Jorvanskr and had the ceremony, Kodlak said something about seeing Eorland for a proper weapon instead of "...whatever that thing is you're carrying." I had a steel dagger which I had dropped in favor of the 1H silver sword. Character is supposed to be a mage, anyway.

LOL talking about poorly scripted. Once you get the one-handed perk where sprint attacks do critical damage, the last words from a bandit are usually "Hey WATCH IT!" or "What's the rush?" LOLOLOL

I also ran a dungeon with an NPC I met in there and every time I sneak killed a draugr she called out "watch it" I'm like WTF woman? I'm killing draugrs, what's to watch? sheesh! *rolls eyes*

Lol!

I aslo dislike the "watch it" comments. Another one i dislike is the:

Me: -moving things around in my room-
Lydia: "what are you doing?".... "put that down!"

It takes all my energy not to smack this woman and kick her out of my room.

About the silver weapons... Yeah... Why are these not upgradeable? Ive got silver ore, silver ingots, incredible smithing abilities... Why can i not upgrade this weapon! It would be nice to have a silver bow with silver arrows... I bet they'd look nice too...

To which I reply: Silent you insolent worm! I am your Thane! or Woman! I LIVE HERE!

According to the wiki, Farkas is classified as 'blacksmith' for some reason so his stats are a bit mixed up. I'm sure he's supposed to be wearing the wolf armor. Regardless, this is hardly a big deal. I thought that scene was great. First time playing it through I was thinking, "oh [censored], I just killed Farkas"... then, whaaaa.....

You people are jaded. And nitpicky.

LOL I do that when I enter the alchemy shop in Whiterun. The woman always says, "You look a bit pale? Do I detect a case of the Rattles?" I can't tell you how many times I've checked my active effects to see if I'm sick LOLOL
