Skyrim at max level

Post » Fri Jun 15, 2012 12:12 am

Due to me being an idiot, I saved over my favourite character that I put loads of hours into and I'm on Xbox and there's simply no way of getting it back. It would be too depressing to make a new character and start all over again, I simply cannot be bothered to do it all as I did so much.

I was going to use that Oghma Infinium glitch to just boost my stats all the way up to max but was wondering if the game then becomes too easy at max level or too hard for me to just jump right into? I don't know what to expect really, nor will the character feel the same as my old one, oh well. :( Will I encounter any problems going straight into max levels?

Ouch! I feel your pain bro. But something you should take into consideration is that dawnguard is coming out soon, and its going to be for high-level characters only so if you character has indeed flashed out from existence you should start a new one and get high levels fast!

If you boost your character to max level you will oneshot everthing and never again feel challenge.

I understand your feel bro, but only use the glitch to get yourself back to whatever level you were when you overwrote.

if you havent made it that far,

my highest character reached 60 and I retired them because it wasn't even worth playing anymore.

The game is more fun if you limit your character.
My main is only level 35 and using steel weapons. I cannot get bored of that character.

This, I use my internal and external hardrives for wtf moments lol but I just created a character last night (Altmer Vampire) and he is at lvl 76 now I play on expert and its loads of fun, its still got its challenges and frustrating moments, but I gotta say I'm starting to like vampires more, but you can always adjust the difficulty

The game is entirely laughable by level 40. I have no idea how people are saying level 76 has challenge. Maybe if you never level up health?

Well the character I was referring to doesn't use weapons or armor lol so yeah if a briar heart finds your hiding place or an ancient dragon lands and starts doing physical attacks it can be a challenge, sorry im not a skyrim god like you

You shouldn't have many problems. I've used the glitch to do that with three characters and haven't found any.

I wasn't implying I was some kind of god at the game. I was saying Skyrim is piss-poor in the difficulty department. I've punched an Ancient Dragon to death with nothing but Lesser Ward and a fur hat on Master Difficulty at level 31. It took a long time, but it wasn't hard. (Skooma addict RP)

I for the hell of it decided to use the oghma glitch, I'm level 78. Very few things present any challenge, it's only when I'm surrounded by lots of high level enemies that I'm anywhere near threatened. I play games more for story than anything so it doesn't bother me. But if you want a challenge...high levels don't provide it.

If they'd just let Dragons actually use different shouts, I think that'd solve the difficulty issue. I can tell you, an Ancient Dragon using Storm Call, and then taking off to circle strafe with it's trademark Fire Breath would make dragons actually feared.

The emphasis changes to finding lots of awesome material possesions when you start at level 81. The difficulty scales down quite a bit, I've taken out an entire city's worth of guards by myself, but I can still be killed if I'm careless.

The main deal is not making your equipment blindingly overpowered, so there's still some give and take between you and the enemies, otherwise you're just carving a bloody swath through the land with no opposition, and that can get boring after awhile.

Seems Morrowind was easy once you get your skills/attributes high enough to never miss an attack. Everything just flinched repeatedly.

Actually maybe my strength was just really high too :ermm:
