Skyrim not supported?

Post » Tue May 29, 2012 9:31 am

Everytime I try to launch the game it says "You game is NOT supported, supported patches 1.3.10.0.us"

Any idea why? Did it not install properly or is it because of mods?

Update your third party software or remove it.

Not mods, per se, but the libraries and hooks they use.

Script Dragon is the main one. An update was just released to bring it support for the patch. Also, make sure you have the latest version of SKSE.

On a side note, it seems like I am answering more and more of these posts in support that are dealing with outdated scripting libraries that hook into the game process. Maybe a note should be added as a sticky or something...

If you are using anything like Skyboost or TESVAL or something like that. Those are not needed with patch 1.4 anyway and the mod authors may not update those mods. They served their purpose and we thank them for creating them. Things like Dragonscript or SKYSE will need to be updated also. ENB series if you used that, you may have to remove the DLL files it installed.

However, with any patch for the game, any and all mods are suspect. If you have issues with the game after a patch, disable all mods and add them back one at a time until the problem is found.

Yeah, but I'm just trying to think of how better to get the message out there before the thread is made. I do a lot of thinking out loud, even if it's via typing >.>
Maybe I'll think of something good, who knows.

Thx guys for all the help, I figured out it wasn't any of the currents mods i was using that was causing this but rather some old files from mods that I hadn't properly uninstalled.
