Hi all.
I knew that the Skyrim patch for 1.4 was released a while ago, But it wasn't until today that I discovered that my game hasn't updated yet.
When I go into the game and go to the in-game Pause menu (where you get the options for Saves, general Stats and all that) and in the bottom left hand corner it says "1.3.10.00".
I looked online and not many few result's came up, One suggestion was to close Steam and open it again with the "Run As Administrator" option, which I did, But no joy.
I looks at Skyrim's Properties option in steam and under the "Updates" tab it reads "Always keep this game up to date".
Does anyone know a solution to this problem as I am unable to use the new Steam Workshop without the 1.4 update.

Have you tried verifying the files?

I did it as I read your post, And it said "3 files failed to be validated and acquired"
What does this mean?

Did you check your version after that?

What that means is that 3 files didn't match the base Skyrim download that exists on the Steam servers and it downloaded the mismatched portions.

Yep, that's usually one of the first things I suggest for Steam or Steam game issues.

I've also seen that in some cases it refuses to update the files even with a manual re-verify. In those cases, deleting TESV.exe will force an update of the latest files.
