Skyrim sales - 10 million units sold at least?

Post » Wed Jun 13, 2012 10:16 pm

So obviously, there hasn't been an official figure released ever since we knew it sold 3.4m copies in it's first two days of release, then if i recall we were told it had beaten Oblivion's lifetime sales by about a week into release (god knows what that figure is).

Todd Howard stated during his Dice keynote that "10 million people are playing the game". This is an astronomical amount, when was the last time a SINGLE PLAYER game sold this well?

Single player games that are great do sell, you just don't hear about them much.

And think of how many PS3 copies have been returned to the stores because of uncorrected / uncorrectable game glitches.

One can only hope that they use some of that money to fix some of the more ugly parts of this game and it's aging engine.

Unfortunately, knowing some of the inner workings of the gaming industry, i highly doubt that will be the case ...
