My Skyrim serial killer.

Post » Fri Jun 15, 2012 2:39 pm

After I've completed every major quest line I've always had the idea of playing as a kind of vampire serial killer. But as with many serial killers, I want to be sure that I collect a trophy from each of my victims. Here's what I've got in mind.

I'd really like to soul trap my victims and collect their souls. I foresee me putting each soul gem on a shelf in the secret room in the house in Winhelm. However, there's something that I can't decide on. I'd really like to be able to identify which souls are which. Ideally I'd like to just name the soul gems, but being on a 360, that's not an option. So here's what I'm thinking.

I can either use the soul gem to create something like a jeweled ring or necklace and then name the necklace whatever my victim's name was. Or I could create another enchanted ring (the smallest item I can think of), using another lower-level trapped soul and name the ring after my victim. Then I could place the soul gem itself on the shelf (with the victim's soul still trapped), and then put the enchanted ring right in front of it to signify who's soul is in the gem.

What do you guys think?

You can give names to the enchanted items you create ? Last time i tried, it wasn't possible. :)

You could enchant a ring with a stone in it and pretend it's a part of the soul gem.

Technically if you mass produced say gold rings or such, you could name them as you enchant them with the name of your victim. Another suggestion would be to take high ranking victims and place them in more expensive jewelry.

I would suggest taking the black star, so that you can ensure you get their soul trapped.

Yes. Whey you go to craft them, hit X. From there you can enter your own name for the item.

Are yon on PC? How about whenever you kill someone, spawn them again inside your house, and do http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JHvx0l_tVEw. Or if not, you can dead thrall them.

That's exactly what I had planned on doing. But I like the soul gems themselves. I like how they look and it would be cool to have a ton of them on a shelf, each named after NPCs that I killed.

I kind of got the idea from Dexter, if anyone's ever seen that. The way he takes a drop of blood I always thought was cool. And I want something uniform. The same for every victim. If I did the jewelry, they would all be a certain gem necklace or ring.

Ha. That's not my style. I'm a more classy serial killer... :)

If you're looking to just have soul gems themselves, you're not going to know who is who unless you line them up and write the order on a piece of paper.

Read my original post.

The other option gives me an ability to know who they are.

sounds pretty cool and is a good system of keeping track of people you killed what I did in oblivion when I did a serial killer character was I collected the people's house keys or shop keys when I killed them (Had a couple hundred imperial city guard keys from this).

Even if you could name soul gems, dropping them empties them for some reason, so you wouldn't be able to put them on your shelf. I like the jewellery idea :D

That's not a bad idea. If I collected the key I could set that in front of the soul gem and then I'd know who it was. I wish there was some way to put labels on a shelf or have some kind of labeled container for each of them.

There was one very special soul gem I saved for a very special person at the end of the DB quest. I never used it though :sadvaultboy:
I guess you collect keys to their houses if soul trapping is too time consuming. Or if black soul gems are too rare/expensive.

Dropping empties them? I've never noticed this.

Do you plan on doing this for all your victims? Why not only for those that aren't part of the common rabble, those who prove some kind of challenge?

Correct me if I'm wrong but, I don't think you can drop keys.

I'm not sure on that one. I'll have to double check.

Yes. They are all challenging in their own way.
