I wouldn't pay to watch any movie in the cinema, it's SO overpriced where I live. Just get it on DVD.

Anyway sometimes I feel like Beth tried to make the game itself too cinematic with the overuse of scripted encounters etc. etc. This doesn't suit ES/Fallout games at all in my view. It certainly doesn't seem very compatible with such an open world game.

Theres ton of content in one game, people have put on aver more then hundres of hours into this. Putting all this in a movie, it better have awesome actors, and 6 hours long.

No it would tank because the audience would be fighting over why the main character should be x race and x class of character and if it wasnt the one they wanted would throw a hissy fit and boycott the movie completely. No really they would.

They'd just need to shoot the entire movie in POV and not allow the main characters bare arms to show.

The character would have to never talk as well, and everyone would have to refer to the character in a gender neutral, and racial neutral manner.

Actually this sounds interesting.

If they did make the movie, it would be a Nord. Just how the game feels, with the main quest and all.

If the main character was a Nord (which it probably would be) I wouldn't even touch that movie.

Except they wouldn't be able to shout, which would defeat the whole purpose of the movie as it would probably have to be about the MQ.. Suppose it doesn't have to be but it probably would.

They'd have to rewrite the story and dialog to make it interesting.

We already got one. It has nothing to do with TES. It's called Berserk and it's an anime movie(2), series, and a manga. There. Tons of Skyrim without Skyrim!

Movies based on video games always fail. A movie based on an RPG? That's even worse.

"Why does he have to be a man?!"

"Hey, how come he couldn't be an elf?"

"Why doesn't he use illusion spells?!"

No.

I think there's plenty of lore and base material to make a movie, but given its rpg nature and the way Hollywood traditionally screws up videogame-game based movies, no thanks. The only movie I need is the one I create on my tv screen :)

No thanks, the storyline is not even that interesting

I'd like it if things such as the rise of Tiber Septim or Reman, or the great war become movie though.

I thought the dragons returning was a pretty neat MQ. Specially with the lore behind the Dragon Priests and the Akaviri and such.
