Skyrim String Localizer - Missing dawnguard strings

Post » Sun Nov 04, 2012 5:01 pm

Hello boys and girls. Here is my problem. Whenever I try to open Dawnguard.esm using Skyrim String Localizer , after selecting dawnguard_italian.strings as string file to be used, I get a message saying that some strings are missing. The program lets me choose another .strings file from which it could extract the missing strings, but whatever string file I select, be it skyrim_italian.strings or something else, It cannot find the missing strings, which are about 6 or seven. Anyone else has encountered this issue?

Spoiler
Unlike TESV.exe, the Creation Kit will not automatically load BSAs by virtue of nomenclature, that is loading Dawnguard.ESM won't load its BSAs. You'll have to add its BSA to your SkyrimEditor.ini.

[Archive]sResourceArchiveList2=Skyrim - Shaders.bsa, Update.bsa, Dawnguard.bsa

Same goes for Hearthfire.

Edit: Oops *drinks more coffee*

Oops. *must read more carefully* >_<

I have seen that before with the string localizer and ignored the error report. All went fine, but you might want to double check with TES5Edit to make sure nothing's missing its name.

Don't worry ahah! Anyway, I checked and these strings should be included in the dawnguard_language.strings file, or at least I think so because of what the EDID of each string reports. It seems impossible that those strings are blank.
