It's because Microsoft and Sony has to approve the patch first. For PC... there is no middleman, that's why it's earlier.

Correct. M$ and $ony require a pointless approval.

EDIT: You can expect the update on January.

Unlike pc they like the patches to work for more than 75% of users

why would sony or microsoft have to approve a patch, its obvious they dont know what they are doing if they released patch v1.02. im stuck w/ 96 hours in, i sound like a nerd but its [censored] lol

Its not pointless. They instigated these procedures after making massive gaffs themselves with software releases. Sony have in the past released demo's and updates that have wiped memory cards clean, made games inoperable on certain models of console, have made controllers unresponsive for that system etc etc. So now they verify everything to make sure core functions are not funked up. As for MS, well we dont even need to list some of the massive errors they have pumped out over the years before instigating verification.

So yeah its a extremely important step when it comes to consoles. Calling it pointless shows lack of understanding as to why its done in the first place. However it does take to long imo, and could easily be speeded up if they both employed more staff and didnt make everyone fork over massive handfulls of cash to have it done.

I was hoping it'd be this week sometime. If not I was going to go crazy. I've been playing my shooters... but I need my Skyrim! And also need 1.03.. I'm not risking anyMORE bugs.

They are waiting for Microsoft and Sony to certify them. They said they would come out something this week, I believe.

They lied to us. They said it was in the process last week. NOW gstaff says its being processed currently. It seems as though their version of patching QA is letting the PC users get a crack at it first and see if theres anything wrong before its released to the consoles.

I'm on the console and have had issues with a quest in a certain city. (Ex. Trying to complete a quest and that person/item hasn't been there.). PC users has this patch fixed some of these issues?

Really? Players complain that they need a patch, Bethesda rushes one out, players complain about it being rushed. Next Bethesda takes their time, players complain about it taking time.

Just have some [censored] patience.

The patch didn't fix anything related to quests at all. Shame.

You really think MS and Sony have guys test patches to see if they fix game bugs? No, they test the patches to make sure they don't allow console security exploits or cause the console to die completely.

Neither is likely here, so ya the certification is likely not terribly useful. Policies are policies, however.
