11/11/11: Skyrim ? No the end of the world

Post » Fri Dec 09, 2011 3:39 am

So, while some will queue for Skyrim, some will think Fallout 4 for real is coming.
This is a real subject of talk (and laughter) in Accra at the moment:

We all know the world ends in 2038.

That or on 22/22/2222.

EDIT:
Spoiler
Some will claim it'll actually happen at 15:30:08 on Sunday, 4 December 292,277,026,596... but we all know they're liars.

Well at least if 12/12/12 fails we can rely on 12/21/12.

I remember setting up the current punch-card system at work, and I told my boss "There is one fatal flaw to this system -- It won't work past 2038"

:P

Oh, so that's where everyone is. I figured they were all celebrating Azu-nyan's birthday.

He's probably just trying to Ghana a reputation for himself, you know, get a Korea out of it.

Still at the 8th floor of my office in Accra, 6pm, waiting for the tidal wave/tsunami or whatever as "the destruction will first start from the coastal areas of the country".

So far, so good...

Boy, is he going to feel dumb in the morning.

Unless he's like that other guy who said the world would end earlier this year, who got super rich with his scam through donations from his followers.

Then he's just laughing all the way to the bank.

Seriously? Again? This is the third time the world has ended this year! I though we had a little over a year left before that happened again. I experienced the End of the World four times prior to this year, but never twice in the same year (let alone three times). What is it about this year that's making the world end so much?

 Well said, sir. Very good use of malapropisms.

The world ended...

...When Skyrim came out.

So, yes, that "prophet" is correct. You're living in a post-apocalyptic world now.

Spoiler
No, not really.

Seems we survived.

However, I predict production to decrease with 50% in all fields of industry, from food to clothing to oil, as workers will be on 'holidays or sick' playing Skyrim for weeks to come.

I came back with my Skyrim DVD friday and we had snow flakes... Snow, at this time of year?!?! The first time was on Halloween, now it's the second time here. It's perfectly normal... something's not right... :bonk: :ahhh:

Smooth, baby. Smooth.
I couch-surfed under a blanket in the buff, sipping The Macallan whilst exploring Skyrim's tundra.

Then I made some soup.
