Skyrim = The Phantom Menace?

I assume that most of us agree that after The Empire Strikes Back, the special effects markedly improved while the dialogue and some of the storyline went....well, you know...

So in that vein, I'd like to submit my TES/Star Wars comparison:

Daggerfall (perhaps lump in Arena) = A New Hope

Morrowind = The Empire Strikes Back

Oblivion = Return of the Jedi

Skyrim = The Phantom Menace

As a long time TES fan, I'm hoping that the trend doesn't continue... :shakehead:

The only difference I would say is that Jedi (Mages) became more powerful in the new movies while they could only do a few jumps and swordplay in the old ones. That and wiggle lightsabers around with their minds.

Good comparison I like it.

im not all that pleased with skyrim, but in no way would i call it comparable to phantom menace. oblivion= rotj, sure, but rotj was still good. phantom is a whole new level of svck. id call skyrim something more like the special edition of rotj: pretty much the same with some obnoxious graphical additions that add less than nothing to the experience.

How about if Phantom Menace was your favorite?

i truthfully believe that if you think phantom menace is the best star wars movie, that your opinion is just wrong. objectively wrong. i dont think any functioning human brain can find the numbing political dribble and pointless action scenes more entertaining in even the most primal sense to any other movie of the series. im not trying to be offensive, but i think you might have a genuine problem if phantom is your favorite. your not stupid, you just really cant have much understanding of the concept of human arts and what humans enjoy about them... they must seem alien to you.

So in that vein, I'd like to submit my TES/Star Wars comparison:

Daggerfall (perhaps lump in Arena) = A New Hope

Oblivion = The Empire Strikes Back

Skyrim = The Phantom Menace

As a long time TES fan, I'm hoping that the trend doesn't continue... :shakehead:

Fixed for accuracy. Yeah that is purposely out of order.

Yeah, we want "The Fast and the Furious" and "Doom: The movie" comparisons.

I'm thinking it's closer to

Daggerfall = A New Hope
Morrowind = Empire Strikes Back
Oblivion = Star Wars Holiday Special
Skyrim = A Phantom Menace

I kid i kid. Oblivion wasn't that bad. But I would rate it lower than the others in the series(Except Arena)
