Does Skyrim have a VATS system like Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas?

Yo VATS isn't just an aid in the game they thought would make it easier for people to play, its also a high teck equipment made using electronics, game speaking of course.

Skyrim as far as I can tell doesn't have any form of electricity.... yet.

OP - even without VATS the game is phenomenal. You should buy it.

Why would the game even needs VATS? There's not body multipliers for magic or arrows. And you have to be really [censored] if you can't hit someone with a melee in Skyrim.

Or in FO for that matter.

VATs in FO3 and FO:NV is a remnant when it actually made sense and worked in the Fallout series. They just kept with it despite it not really lending itself for that type of game what-so-ever.

Though in Fallout I think your weapons do more damage because it wastes AP. Hopefully, VATS won't be as much of a necessity in FO because they'll probably make the sensitivity a lot more fluid.

I request a 'like' button :) this I loved.

but no. I don't want any VATS or MATS in Skyrim or any other future Elder Scrolls game.

Magic is for the weak, Elves I mean. They keep to that college of theirs up in Winterhold, they know their place.

Er VATS in FO1 and FO2 made sense. It was questionable in Tactics, then just a ghost in FO3 FO:NV...

I have wasted some magika on a frost bolt or missed with an arrow, but having VATS in this kind of game would make it too easy and less real. I like a little bit of a challenge.

These console commands are listed in the ini when you use the command "saveini" :

[VATS]
bVatsDebug=0
fVATSKillMoveEnd=4.0000
fVatsLightColorB=1.0000
fVatsLightColorG=1.0000
fVatsLightColorR=1.0000
fVATSLightElevation=100.0000
fVATSLightDistance=100.0000
fVATSLightAngle=0.0000
fVATSLightLevelMax=40.0000
fVATSLightLevelMin=20.0000
bVATSDisable=0
fVATSFocus=3.2000
bVATSSmartCameraCheckDebug=0
fMaxPickTimeDebugVATS=0.6000
fMaxPickTimeDebug=0.0600
fMaxPickTimeVATS=0.0300

So its possible that the code for vats its still there, just disabled. Maybe someone can make a mod to bring it back.

vats would make it supergroovy easy vs. just plain old easy.

so, let's not advance the idea of vats. let's shelf it and, instead, make a simplistic, easy game that offers no combat ingenuity, at all.

I'm okay with no VATS. However I wish Skyrim had locational damage like Fallout 3 & NV.

Shock spells. And soul gem traps.

too much cost, less revenue, too much like fallout3.

to not have locational damage as a norm, yet, in 2012 is headshakingly weak.
