A skyrim version of the black hore courier?

Post » Sat Jun 09, 2012 12:12 pm

I used to read the black horse courier in oblivion to get and impression of what was happening and what people thought of me. I'm starting to miss this in skyrim :/

EDIT: i spelled horse wrong in the title :/

Haha the title made me laugh, after I read your Edit.
:D

I got the wrong impression at first.

But I agree, I miss it tremendously.

Ha. Love me some dark chocolate. Anyway no, I'm pretty sure the Black Horse Courier is Cyrodiil-exclusive. Wouldn't make any sense, really. Also, it existed some two-hundred years ago. Probably long gone by now.

Does Saadia count? I mean some of Kematu's comments suggest it...

And no, the black horse courier likely no longer exists after the Great War.

Unless I'm completely oblivious, there isn't even a single book store in Skyrim. Oblivion had four of them (not to mention the Black Horse Courier).

This makes me feel like the Devs set the scene where most of the inhabitants of the providence are illiterate. As an avid in-game book collector, I feel that they should have at least added one book store in Solitude... as well as added a crier that passes out newsletters within each major city in Skyrim.

A book Store in Skyrim, hey? Hmm. Sounds like a job for the CK, methinks.

That, and an arena, of course.

Hence the word, "version".

I like the idea, there are couriers in the game they should be more useful.

Well, as someone who's playing a Nord warrior who distrusts magic users, the Arcandium is out of the question. Not to mention the general merchant traders have a slim pickings. I only wish that there was a dedicated store that's readily accessible for my reading needs much like Oblivion had.

Le sigh.... the CK can't arrive quick enough.
