skyrimnexus down for maintenance?

Post » Fri Jun 08, 2012 9:55 pm

It seems as it was down since yesterday...

I know they have changed it to http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/ but that just won't load up right now.

Did anyone here know about this?

And does anyone know when will they be up again!?

I do not know what you are talking about since it simply does not work. The site that is.

The only thing that does load is this page: http://nexusmods.com/
but not http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/

It depends on your DNS server i believe, it will take up to 24h for it to full update for everyone. So if it doesnt show up yet just give it time. Its just because how the DNS works.

I swear, I just tried it and successfully downloaded a file from Skyrim Nexus. Not sure why some people are having problems. Are you using a proxy server?

If a DNS setting changed then this can take up to 48 hours to replicate over the entire internet, it is then entirely possible that some people are still connecting to the old server where others are being redirected to the new one.

In other words all with problems just have to wait a bit.

You don't empty the cache of your browser when you shut it down I guess; that's probably why it's working for you and not for me.

My cache is about 5 GB, so I guess that would explain it.

They banned so many people that they overloaded their servers.

"Don't get your knickers in a twist" is a pretty common British expression suggesting a person not get upset. Only, more livelier.

Nexus is back up, but it's still not taking sign-ins, here.

Well, the forum takes sign-ins properly, but then displays a screen stating "Welcome, Guest!" Not quite the same thing.

Hmmm... worked for me from the always-visible-login-form-on-the-top-of-every-page.

And I wasn't angry.... that's my expression when I get confused... just without the moving mouth.

But thanks, now I learnt a new British phrase.
