Small DLC Content Marriage to Follower

Post » Tue Jun 05, 2012 12:47 am

Would anyone else like to see all marriage options become followers after marriage? I'd love to be able to take Ysolda, Camilla, or any other marriage options to be able to go on adventures. Also, I'd like to see far more marriage options, as far as choice. For example : there is a lack of Female Elves to marry, as well as Breton Females. Everyone is different, I just like to see the system expanded as I find myself sticking with the same marriage options (Jordis/Iona/Jenassa) throughout my playthroughs, becuase of a lack of what I deem a suitable marriage option for that particular character.

If my wife went anywhere but the kitchen she would only be seeing my gauntlets.

I would like an all around improvement of the marriage system. It feels very shallow.

the marriage thing is just so not there.

beth needs to add to it to make it better.

the ability to actually interact with a spouse

beyond hello and good bye my love and will

you fix me some food or have we got money

is essential to making marriage better period.

I'd like to be able to have the wives wear different clothes. And more interaction would be nice, but I don't know that I'd want it to be quite as 'needy' as Fable II and III though. :P

And how about adding new marriage options while they're at it. They have plenty of Nord characters you can marry, but the overall representation of other races is pathetic. Some races like Argonians have only three, some like High Elves and Redguards only get one, and Wood Elves and Khajiit get none at all. Also, like I said before, if they decide to add the ability to adopt children for some reason, how about adding Elven (Altmer, Dunmer, Bosmer and Orsimer, aka Orcs) and beast (Argonians and Khajiit) children to the game. It couldn't possibly be that hard or unreasonable to do. At the very minimum, Altmer, Dunmer and Bosmer children would look similar albeit different heights, skin tones and eye colors, leaving just three that would need to be more distinctive in physical appearance (outside of simple texture changes and height differences). Though it would probably be preferable if they try a little harder than that, but I don't personally see it being important enough to warrant too much attention. I would love to be able to use Argonian children for a mod I plan to do, though.

That just sounds so wrong. :P

That just sounds so wrong.
Okay, I did not mean it in that way. I just meant that for a mod I plan on doing, it would be interesting to have it as an option for adding NPCs, not whatever you were thinking.

Speaking of of which, they should consider the possibility of adding a few more child races, since it would add to realism a little more, but none of this is really a big deal for me, though. There's other things I'd rather they do first before doing something like this, such as new weapon types, new enemies, new places, perhaps stuff that improves vampirism and lycanthropy, more marriage options, etc.

isn't there already a mod for this?
A mod for what? There's a lot of stuff mentioned here. I know there are mods that add options for characters who use voice types that already have the marriage dialogue. Not sure if there's anything else that's been released yet that improves on the marriage system besides a mod that lets spouses live anywhere, which is called "Spouses Can Live Everywhere." Oh yes, there's also a mod that lets you change your character's spouse's outfit as well.

I want to have quest where I go home and my wife is crying or something and tells me that we have been robbed. Then I have to chase down the person who stole from me and kill them to get the stolen items back. What I just said sounds boring but I think you know what I mean.

Actually I would rather see them barefoot and pregnant at home.

Honestly many of them are not adventurers so having them along just really wouldn't fit. I can't even image Ysolda in armor and swinging a sword.

No I think the ones that are followers by default should continue, but I wouldn't expect the milk drinkers to join me.
