SmithingEnchanting?

The problem with enchanting and smithing only arrives at the highest levels. Ie double enchants on all pieces is broken beyond belief. +160% extra damage on onehanded ontop of all other things you have makes the game to easy once you know the games weakness.

This come from someone that always plays on very easy (DID) the first time and i found the game very balanced. However now with experience in the game its clear that alot of stuff is pretty unbalanced.

The first thing that should be done is not allowing multiples of the same enchant to stack or removing the final perk in the enchant tree for something more balanced. Smithing etc should not be buffed by potions, gear etc either beyond the skill cap. Ie if you got 50 smithing skill than you can drink a potion and benefit , but once you are at 100 the same potion would be worthless.

The synergy is simply to powerful.

My endgame character are way to powerful no matter what difficulty i play on (mostly normal though master makes very little diffrence). And i do not use the potion or +smithing gear to "exploit". I just hit the cap in enchant, smithing, hvy arm, shield, one hand and nothing can touch you.

Double ancient dragons....I can tank easily and pwn them with pretty much full hp.

Up to end game however the entire game is very balanced and fun.

I've read about players making 100 daggers, or some amount like it, to max level smithing - don't know how accurate that is.

However, if Bethesda would add "diminishing returns," to professions it would put an end to max leveling smithing, alchemy, and enchanting.

In other words, your first 5 daggers would give you one additional smithing level, then it would take 7 for the next level, 10 for the next level, and on - increasing the number drastically to prevent power-leveling these skills.

You can do the same for those potions that increase smithing skills, enchanting skills, etc. Your first smithing potion would increase your skill by 30% for 30 seconds, the second potion only 20% for 10 seconds, third potion 5% for 10 seconds, and then after that third one, no potions will help you.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining about how the system works now. All 3 of my character enchant, and my warrior also does smithing. But I don't use potions and don't power-level those skills. So, I kind of impose limits on myself. But even without using potions/alchemy, you can make some pretty powerful armor (just upgrading an existing armor) and weapons. I upgraded a bow yesterday and the base damage went from 40-something to almost 60 - that's quite a big jump, IMO.

Just trying to throw something out there for players to think about how it could be done properly. Or maybe a modder can change it if players want that type mod.
