SmithingRepairing

Hey guys, i'm new to the forum so forgive me if I come across as a noob or anything :cryvaultboy:

So I was playing Skyrim today and I love every single aspect of it, the combat, customization, eveeerything!
I heard in the reviews before that theres 5 levels of customization and the armor looks different each time? I have no source but I remember reading that, but is it true that the armor looks different every time? All I know is that the only thing I know about armor looking different is the banded-iron armor and the normal iron armor, so could anyone shed some light for me?

Thanks
:tes:

EDIT: The nightingale armor looks different to what it usually looks like, or so I think in this picture - http://i639.photobucket.com/albums/uu116/furnishn/405bfb16.jpg

Cant repair your item as well; only improve it. If I'm not mistaken.

Yes, they took out armor degradation and put in armor/weapon improvement.
