Sniper Rifle fix

Post » Sun Aug 14, 2011 3:41 pm

I have been a sniper in BRINK since I have gotten the game. The Barnett is mah girl.

But there is one thing that drives me up the wall. The delay in which your character decides to reload after your clip is empty. I don't know if anyone else notices this, but when your clip goes to zero, your guy sits there for around 3 or 4 seconds. Realizes his gun is empty, pulls his fist out of his butt and then reloads. I am trying to understand why it takes so long to reload. I would rather not have to reload after every two shots.

Anyone else agree?

Or am I just a whine ass?

Helpful...

This was actually my main reason for choosing the dragunov over the barnett. I hated the time between shots and the time it took to reload.

Yeah.

I just can't not use it though. I just hope they fix that reload issue. It shouldn't take 5 seconds to realize you need to reload.

Its a bolt-action rifle. It can take a bit to reload it, considering it could be well over 20 years old, and not to mention the salt spray that could really fack up the inner workings of the gun.

As for the reload, it just reloads WAY too slow.

Oh, and a tip- you can cancel the bolt cycle by unscoping for the first 3 shots.

I am not talking about the animation. I am fine with that. It's the response time for your character to reload. After your clips is empty. He sits there and waits a few seconds before the reload animation even starts. I am fine with reload time. But when he sits there doing nothing when I spam the reload button, there is an issue there.

Edit: I do use the snap scope to cancel reloads. But he waits to long after an empty clip to start to reload.

The longer reload time is the price you pay for the increased dmg of the barnett. I assume they took these balancing issues into consideration when setting the reload times.

The longer reload isn't the issue, as explained multiple times now... It's the sheer fact that your character doesn't seem to always acknowledge he's in need of more ammo BEFORE he starts to reload.

Ah from my perspective it appeared that the entire reload sequence was as intended and that the delay was part of the reload animation.
