Snowglobe Question

Post » Sun Mar 06, 2011 12:01 pm

I have already obtained all of the Snowglobes and turned them into Jane. I also got the one from the DLC that came out in December.

Here's the question, In future DLC's, if there aren't currencys like the one in the December DLC, If I kill Mr. House, and get a DLC Snowglobe that must be turned in for caps, unlike the one from the First DLC, can it still be done?

I'm thinking that it will appear wear the first DLC one is and the caps will be automatically added, what do you guys think?

Sorry if you think this is in the wrong thread, because I couldn't decide, because it has to do with DLC, and General New Vegas. So if should be moved, feel free to tell a Moderator.

P.S. - I tried to keep the spoilers to a minimum.

I'm betting 31,000 caps that it goes on the shelf, but you get caps with it.

31,000 caps is the amount of caps my new character has. :mohawk:

Here's what I dont get. Say you complete the dam quest and thus end the game so it's no longer playable. How the [censored] are you meant to carry on playing dlcs then if you cant actually play? And surely if the game is over you wont be able to go back and put them in the lucky38 anyway?!
Unless I've missed something of vital importance here. I'm not up to date with dlc becaus I'm too poor at the moment, :sadvaultboy:

The DLC snowglobes appear on the shelf when you return to the Mojave, even if House is dead. At least, my Sierra Madre globe did.

Thankyou for clarification. :)
I'm being thick as [censored] here, but does that basically mean that if I completed the main stories around the dam today, mugged someone tonight and bought the dlc tomorrow, I'd be able to play it then...just, not be able to go back roaming the mojave?

Exactly. Basically, right before the Battle for the Dam, you're given a subtle warning message that there's no turning back. If you click okay, you're transported to the dam for final run and game over. If you click no, you can continue free-roaming or continue any DLC.

I would STRONGLY URGE you to save using a slot before that battle for posterity. That way, you can load that save for any future DLCs or free-roaing if bored. Or you can start a new character and try a different play-though. But yep, that's about it.

House was long dead when I went to Zion. The second I picked up the globe, 2000 caps instantly. Hope this helps.
