Snowy pixel issue?

Post » Thu May 31, 2012 2:12 pm

I started playing skyrim again since maybee... 5 months ago? Patched scrip dragon - skse - nexus mod manager.

Added a few new mods. Started a New game. On the ride in with all the snow whipping around. It comes in as fuzzy snow pixels like on a tv with snow fuz.

I believe it is strictly the snow. because all seems clear between that.

Any idea to alter this problem?

Are you by chance using an AMD/ATI video card?

If so, would you by chance be using the 12.2/12.3 driver?

If yes to both, completely remove the driver and download the new 12.3 released a couple weeks ago and do a clean install of that one or rollback to 12.1.

If no to either, could you provide a dxdiag in a spoiler tag please?

From the date, it sounds like you 'may' be using the borked ones. Mind trying a clean install of the 12.3 driver that was released a couple weeks ago?

working it in, but waht do you mean by borked one? botched download ?

As in a more recent download derailed to an older download?

Or I just picked an older one?

Trying the 12.3 now.

My driver keeps downloading as 32 bit, but reverts into 64.

Could this be a borked file?

The 12.2 preview drivers reported themselves as 12.3 but were bad drivers and actually made things not display properly. They were around the time period that your date shows, not sure the date on them exactly as I'm a Nvidia user.

My driver keeps downloading as 32 bit, but reverts into 64.

Could this be a borked file?

I'm not sure what you mean here.

me neither had to redownload 3x..

the actual save placment would be labeled for 32 bit.

then start downloading as 64 label. works now.

Anyway, if this was a classic issue. I am sure it will be resolved. much thanks
