Solo D&D 3.5 Campaign Help

Post » Mon Jun 13, 2011 9:57 pm

I want to run a premade campaign with only one person me as both the DM and player. But I'm not sure how I would run it. Any ideas how I would run a premade campaign with only one player as both DM and player?

Uh... it's going to be hard to DM and play. Unless your experienced enough to not meta game I don't recommend it. The other player might come to resent you if your using DM knowledge to help your player character and steal all of the glory. If you even suspect that you can't separate your knowledge and responsibility as a DM from the player character your going to play don't even attempt it. You'll both wind up bored.

There is no other player I'm playing completely solo.

I've never even heard of this.

Is this something that others have done? You may want to ask for help on http://forum.rpg.net/forum.php

Is it newbie friendly ? Only played it IRL once role-playing in first person. I′ve played NWN though so I have a bit of knowledge about how some statistics work but not everything. Also I′ve read a great deal of Salvatore so I know a bit about the world and the lore contained within it.

That is like playing Monopoly on your own. It just doesn't work and would be awkward.

Well if you really wanted to you could try to find a DM for a solo game at the site Gamgee provided.
