Solution for stuck Veronica

Post » Sat Feb 19, 2011 7:36 am

I had the seemingly common problem with Veronica getting stuck after the BoS ambush... after much fiddling, this is how i managed to get her responding again:

pull up the console (~ key) and select Veronica
enter "disable"
enter "enable"

if you have the same problem i do, you should see something like "Veronica Picked Package Dialog ()" appear in console.... now, BEFORE closing the console, enter "kill"
enter "rdf"

close console

when i did this, she stood there instead of dropping dead, then jumped to the standing up animation and was fine, after re-doing her post-ambush speech

edit: original fix was flawed, updated to working method... hope this works for you folks!

YES!

This worked for me. The first time I tried it i closed out of the console between the enable and kill commands. I tried again and did all 4 in a row and it kicked her back into action. Luckily i'm not playing hardcoe this time around, since messing with the console stops you from getting the special achievements. Hopefully this is patched up by the time I do my next playthrough.

Had the same problem myself, i tried reloading a couple dozen times from my saves. But the event unbugged after i went out, nailed one of them, then vent back inside. Veronica became responsive again. Outside the other paladins were friendly again. Though the quest is still listed incomplete in my book. The paladins outside the bos bunker still, the last of them.

Thank you sir this worked for me as well. However what happed for me after entering the commands is she was unconcious standing up and then fell down then stood up and re- enacted the conversation from after the ambush. With subsequent XP from completion again.

For those wondering how to "select" Veronica do the following in the console.

prid e32a9

This had happened to me earlier at a different point , but i was able to fix it by just dissmissing her and re-hiring her immediatly, same with Boon.

My Veronica got stuck inside silver rush. I did the disable/enable thing and it worked.
Thanks a lot.

I think console messing only prevents getting achievements for that session, not for the entire lifespan of the character. The one thing i expect would change in hardcoe is having to use the "resurrect" command since companions can actually die

nice tip, it worked for me as well,

however it also reset all of my standings with the factions and dialog options with characters, its like I just started a new game and are just meeting people for the first time except for my house and gear
