Some neat news I found

Post » Tue Jun 12, 2012 7:46 pm

Pete Hines, Bethesda’s VP of marketing and PR, has tweeted a hint regarding Rage and Skyrim “surprises”. The special news about these Bethesda titles will be announced next month.

Some things coming down the road in April for all you Rage and Skyrim fans. April is gonna have some cool news and surprises.

No further information was divulged for either game’s “surprise”. I believe Skyrim may finally get the DLC reveal we’ve all been expecting for months. With the developer shifting focusing away from stability patches and the recent trademark for “http://www.justpushstart.com/2012/03/skyrim-dlc-may-be-titled-dawnguard/“, the chance of Bethesda announcing the long-awaited expansion seems likely.
Rage is a different story, however. The title has been out of the news for some time now, but unveiling some add-on content could give owners a reason to dust off their copy. Only time will tell what Bethesda has up their sleeve.

I really do think this Dawnguard is something to do with Skyrim DLC or Elder Scrolls... the original era in the Lore was called the Dawn era was it not, and had a lot to do with Akatosh who has a lot to do with dragons. Seems to be connected to me.

There is also an settlement in Skyrim called Dawnstar... so there is a lot of Dawn references already in the game and lore.

not trying to be a dike but how does this qualify as news? Isn't it more an announcement that there will be news in the future?

Actually, I think the surprise for Skyrim fans is the Kinect voice commands for 360 players, but don't quote me on that. There's still another half of April left to go, plenty of time for another surprise announcement. Hopefully there will be more than that this month, since it's not very exciting if you're on PC or PS3.

Agreed. I think that the Kinect thing is our 'big April news', which is fantastic aside from the fact that it only affects Xbox players.

I just read that there are supposed to be additional announcements later this month, though we'll have to wait and see. Any major announcements will probably be dependent on how "done" the upcoming content is by a certain date.
