Some of the books in this game..

Yesterday I decided to read 'The Woodcutters Wife', and omg it creeped me out more than any real book has.
I just read 'The cabin in The Woods.'
????
What creepy books have you read?

Those actually kind of creeped me out too. I have no idea why.

I enjoy reading the books. I usually read the Skill books and notes/journals right away and then store the normal books. I never read them once I store them though. Some normal books I do read though.

I might have to read these scary books mentioned. I've read quite a few good ones. Three Thieves is the only title I can only remember. I do remember reading a book about two archers, one was professional and knew all these ways to fire the bow and the other did it his way with his rugged bow, this was quite a good story with a cool ending (to me). I also read another one about this prisoner who became the archery teacher of this Man's son.

I recently read the five books I was given from a quest.

Given from the Orc librarian at the College of Winterhold from a quest
One was called Response to Bero's Speech which discussed a lot about Magic but it isn't actually in Skyrim which is a shame. It mentions the school Mysticism, Teleportation and Levitation. It also talks about ways to deliver a Destruction spell: "whether it is cast at a touch, at arange, in concentric circles, or cast once to be triggered later." We don't have any of the bold styles. Only Range and possible Runes (which could come under triggered later).

Kolb and the dragon.

Sooo awesome. A pick your own adventure book inside of an adventure is just so epic.

EDIT: reading ti on the wiki doesn't do it justice.

The Cabin In The Woods is very creepy. Also the one about the little boy who conjures up a Daedra unbeknowst to his mother. Then theres some of the creepy witch journals.

Plenty of terrifying reading which fits in with the deep wintry dark of Skyrim nights.

Thanks Bethesda for the bone chilling writing which entertains like a medieval version of modern pc games stirring the imagination with dread.

The lack of those hilariously racist and prejudice travel guides that were in Oblivion. I hate the character in the game who wrote them, but I was hoping that something similar would be in Skyrim when I popped it in after buying it day one. Turns out. No racism in travel guides to be found. For shame... We could have had some awesome ones by the Thalmor that even compiled a, "I forgot to edit out this hit list." hit list filled with just people the author has something against.

:D

Anyway, I already read most of them in Morrowind (and Oblivion) so I don't remember most in detail, but A Game at Dinner is probably my favorite.

I wish there was a library or something which contains all of the game's books; find it annoying to start a series (book no. 1) and find some random number (book no. 4) in your next dungeon, and spending hours searching for book no. 2.
