Someone knowledge answer me, please

Post » Fri Jun 22, 2012 8:53 pm

Hey, I am a console owner (the ps3) and almost every time I wear a hood, helmet, amulet and other clothes, almost instantly the textures goes in a low-like version, then I dis-wear (sorry the spelling) it and it goes in a normal texture again but only if I leave the menu and enter in it again, but then when I wear it again it goes low version again. Is this normal? I mean, is this a bug of bethesda?? Or my game is corrupted? I have seen in many topics that they have the exact glitch but in the xbox version, even bethesda said it was a bug but in ps3?? Can someone enlighten me?

Buy an Xbox is your only solution.

The list of problems on Ps3 is too long to count. It's crappy hardware.

The gauntlet has been thrown. I shall now sit back and watch as this turns into a platform war...

^ this
I have noticed a difference between the textures I had when the game released and the textures that I have now. One of the patches did something to the textures( I think it was patch 1.3 or 1.2 ) I really don't know what it did, I just know it was one of those two patches and the only way to fix it is by another patch from Beth. Console " draw distance " was effected by the same patch, if you have noticed that bows do not have the range that they should / did have.

^ Don't listen to them. Your best option would be to go and sell your Ps3, right now, and trade it in for an Xbox360.

You'll notice there may not be much difference between bugs, but atleast you'll have a better console ;)

Pffft only follow that misguided advice if all you ever want to play is titles by Bethesda, in fact get a PC, much more flexible option.:D
Other than that most other developers can code for the PS3 just fine, in fact Beth could probably too if they hadn't accepted wads of cash from M$

That's not a constructive answer.

It's a PS3. There's no 'constructive answer' you can give, unless you want him to open it up, void the warranty, and mess around with the hardware to fix the problem.

Neither is your comment.

Replace PS3 with XBox in the above and you have exactly the same asinine comment that can be seen when a PS3 devoted player (Read closed minded elitist) responds. Seriously if either console was really as bad as each side of the pointless console bashers pastime following try to convince those equally as weak minded to be the case.

That console would have died a long time ago yet both platforms are still alive, each with pro's and cons, each with developers and publishers that favour one or the other and will continue to do so.

The moral?

Console flame wars = pointless, console flame baiters, more so.

Also by trading in your PS3 for an Xbox360 you will have Dawnguard A MONTH EARLIER! Now where all happy except PS3 fans.

Xbox 360, and I have the same problem.
I'm kind of wondering when they'll fix this too, tired of my Horse, Clothes, Dragons and Loading Screen objects getting really untextured.

Nothing like having a month of public debugging before deciding to buy it or not imo.

The only PS3 players to be foaming at the mouth in anticipation and looking on in envy will be those that only play Skyrim and need a new fix, most PS3 users don't care a great deal in reality, after all a month is nothing.

I'd bet a far smaller percentage of PS3 users will buy it compared to XBox and that's assuming it even gets released on PS3, I certainly won't lose sleep over it.

That's still just as pointless. Any form of elitist, be it xbox, ps3 or PC, is an idiot.
It's all down to preference and your own opinion.
I play xbox. I understand that it has flaws, and also that other platforms have their own flaws, but its what i prefer to play on, and nothing anyone says to me will change that, particularly over the internet.

I have both a x-box and PS3 (and play both). I have friends who have Skyrim on PC. The PC has the mod advantage but is more expensive since you truly have to have a gaming PC to get the best effects. The x-box has issues as does the PS3. Neither are enough to stop me from playing the game. If there is a little texture problem we can live with it. We have come along way from PONG or the Atari 2600 (remeber Pitfall). Between the 2 consoles I prefer the PS3 to play Skyrim and my son plays the x-box as a default now that I got the game for that system.

So it's better for him/her to just throw his/her PS3 in the trash and buy a new console? That isn't constructive as both consoles share many same issues.

Hahaha I am a guy lol, thanks to all for the answers, please don't come here starting a console's war, I'm not saying xbox is better than ps3 or ps3 is better than xbox, each one have their strong areas but I like more the ps3, that isn't the point anyway.
In fact, the xbox had the texture "fail" loading problem earlier that the ps3, the solution to the problem for the xbox was to not install the game in the console.
Returning to the question, please answer me this:
I found that this is a bug of both consoles (I think that pc has it too, well I don't know), but what I don't know is if bethesda made it intentionally for improve the FPS of the game OR this is really a bug? That is my question because, at least, my gameplay of 90 hours is really smooth and have great textures (when not glitching), BUT my only problem is the "instant-low-quality in the textures when wear them (?)"... So.... the bug was intentionally made for bethesda? Or is this a really bug that will be fixed in later patches?

Console war aside, from what i know you have to install games on PS3, but not Xbox. Uninstalling helped me with this problem.

Yes I'm pretty sure your right in that Beth. did it to improve frame rate and memory usage. But I have also heard that the code was only meant to open on PS3 and opened by mistake on Xbox. I could be wrong on the last part but it was intentional so as to improve how the game would run,
