Something nobody ever thinks of.

How come every piece of armor you find fits you perfectly? I know it's just a videogame but once i got to thinking it kinda just bugged me.

Why would a Wookiee, an 8-foot-tall Wookiee, want to live on Endor, with a bunch of 2-foot-tall http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ewok? That does not make sense! But more important, you have to ask yourself: What does this have to do with this case? Nothing. Ladies and gentlemen, it has nothing to do with this case! It does not make sense! Look at me. I'm a lawyer defending a major record company, and I'm talkin' about Chewbacca! Does that make sense? Ladies and gentlemen, I am not making any sense! None of this makes sense! And so you have to remember, when you're in that jury room deliberatin' and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grammatical_conjugation the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emancipation_Proclamation, does it make sense? No! Ladies and gentlemen of this supposed jury, it does not make sense! If Chewbacca lives on Endor, you must acquit! The defense rests.

Well everyone in Skyrim is roughly the same size, there isn't a HUGE deal of difference in height, only the Altmer are considerably taller than other races and even then not by a great amount.

What's even weirder is that taking a piece of female armor somehow magically transforms it into male armor if you're a male and vice versa.

Because having to refit all the armor you find would please one person and piss off another two hundred thousand.

I have thought about this actually. In Morrowind. But it's not a big deal really. There are other things that bug me more.

Here's my idea...maybe when you find armor you can't just put it on. You have to take it to somebody to have them fit it for you, for a small fee. Or you could do It yourself if you had the skill

Your right, I've been on the fence about changing it back and you just gave me to push I needed. I'm highly susceptible to peer pressure so stop it before I do something else.

No that sounds like a really pointless feature. It doesn't bother me in the slightest, I only wear armor that I have crafted anyway, I don't put on stuff I've looted from corpses.

Simple: Your magick aura fills the void if the armor is too large or stretches the armor if it is too small.

I could see a mod for that armor fitting idea. In fact, I'd be surprised if there wasn't one already.

Not to be picky, but... the Ewoks live on the moon of Endor.

Definitely going with gameplay > realism.

I just don't see the Dovahkiin browsing through Belathor's shop looking for the right size iron cuirass. :P

because all the armor is technically enchanted so it magically fits to your size and race

Just think of the possibilities! You could adjust armor to fit different sizes! Your blacksmithing skill determines how close the product is to the target size! If you wear a piece of armor that doesn't have the correct "Fit Rating," then you get an armor and movement penalty! This sounds so fun!

The issue has been around since Morrowind, and if i'm not mistaken M'aiq commented on it in Oblivion. It can be explained in part due to the fact most armor has strapings that allow it to better fit the wearer, but it will only compensate for so much. The other, far, far, far greater reason is because Beth simply could never have that much time for a seemingly trivial issue, and even if they did I doubt they would follow through on it, as it would be deemed tedious in play.

It is funny that a male character can take off his steel plate armor, hand it to Lydia, and as she's putting it on, it suddenly accommodates briasts. Perhaps that part is made of a more flexible and form-fitting material we haven't developed on Earth yet. "Ugh, Bruno use nanotech. Bruno smash!"

I always assumed that if you got a piece of equipment and it didn't fit you properly you had to live with it; unless you were a smith and in that case when you improve and item you also improve the fit.
As for the "transferring a piece of armor from a male to a female" thing. *clears throat* Magic! Ancient and mysterious magic!
