Sometimes there can be a bit too much hand holding

Ok mods, don't freak out, it's not really what you think.

I've just started a new character, now I've gained enough experience from my other characters to know when to hit health potions at the last moment, now being a new character with low health I judge that this should happen much sooner!, approx quarter health left, what am I babbling about and whats this got to do with hand holding I hear you say, or more precisely get to the freaking point!

Well, the point is I'm fighting the first dragon, health has reached a quarter, just as I'm about to hit the potions the message pops up "Your health is low, you should use a potion"; I click ok and the dragon kills me!, HELLOOOOO!, is there a way to turn off those damnable messages!?

My advice to you is to never rely on your estimated health from a previous character. Don't forget different races have different starting levels of magicka, health, and stamina. A quarter bar on one character could be 50 points while on another could be 15.

Morgueanna, I believe all races start with 100 Health and 100 Stamina. The only racial modifier I'm aware of is the Altmer's +50 Magicka.

Related sorta, is there a way where you can disable these help popups permanently? Some ini setting perhaps?
