How http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uPuKoqu6kMk didn't make it is beyond me. Thought it was a given.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e5hXtGkzZ9k Walking through the Wasteland with [your favourite companion here] with this playing would be boss.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vSwJlv0Bljg- smooth song that doesn't get old.

More to come as I think of them.

@AyumiFan- My ears are bleeding. :sadvaultboy:

This song is a little older than Fallouts theme, but still, it's a good song :stare:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lb9qQM50ekY

@Inna- Two things

Licensing Fees, and Viva Las Vegas was written in the 60s, it doesnt have that 50s or earlier feel to it in my opinion, it isnt a BAD song, it just isnt a Fallout song.

Figured. Just imagined they had a pretty decent budget set aside and the fees wouldn't be 'out there'. Hell, if I was a record company I would waive my license fees in exchange for a higher percentage of any aftermarket soundtrack sales. Look at the sales of FO3 and put a value on how much that exposure to 2 or 3 generations of 'new listeners' is worth. Too bad.

Lover Come Back To Me - Good song with a great voice. Nice choice.

Unfortunately that wont happen. I live right outside Memphis, so I go to Graceland on a yearly/bi-yearly basis since I was a kid. EP Enterprises are not very friendly about the prices. They treat Elvis like a corporate toy. He's essentially become similiar to what Star Wars is to George Lucas, IE a money pit.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=44CQbWDDd64&feature=fvst - Might not stick with the 'Western' theme they were trying to emphasis, but I dare you not to find yourself singing it later today after listening to it.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kYorZEdoaPU- More popularly known as 'Sway' by Dean Martin. The mexican version probably fits the western 'feel' more but both versions are great.

Hard to pick truly fitting songs. The 'Vegas' band circa Rat Pack is what I thought they would be going towards, but the music tries harder to pick up on 'Country Western' tones in the game.

If the easy way involves classic tunes like this, I'm all for it!

Easy to pick as it was used already in Fallout 2 (and thus every time hearing it reminds me of Fallout). :P

It kills me that they made a TV spot with http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KZlDxPsJp7I but then left it out of the final soundtrack...

Here are a few other "Essential Vegas" songs I would have loved to heard in the NV soundtrack:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6hZf02rG_rE
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mHwk4rX-U40
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bnQQcmBPKic
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OENNcRHNjfQ

And on the Country Western side of the spectrum:

Which is why I called you 'cheater!'. :foodndrink:

Pretty much any Louis Armstrong song makes me think of Fallout. His voice is too distinctive.

Big yes. We've pretty much put together the radio station I was expecting to hear with Mr. New Vegas. Classic Vegas showtunes on one station for when your in and around the strip. Dry & dusty country tunes for when you're braving the wastes. Add the exisiting fantastic ambient sounds and the soundtrack would have been covered with gold.

It's difficult to separate Vegas from the the Italian mafioso type songs.

Here are a few more:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aS6-b7CONDI
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wDUBoSta4eY

Consequently, I drew some of these songs from the Mafia II soundtrack... :P

And yes, if I could build a "custom soundtrack/Radio Station" on my PS3/New Vegas game I'd be all over that...

I just wish I had a way to add songs to the game while playing on PS3, and not have to play songs from the PC while playing the game on the console.

EDIT: I've heard rumors about songs being available, but not playing on the PC. Is this true for the PS3 as well?

Agreed.

Is Mafia II any good? Never played it - but I like mob games.

As for the custom soundtrack, know the feeling. I'm on the XBOX.
