I don't think any company should be stopped from doing what they want to do from another company.
I think each one should drive the other to do better things with the things they make for consumers.
And making a product and then having to reverse engineer it to be compatible with some other companies technology is not the way to go at all I don't think.
Consumers should decide that issue with the sales determining who has the better product.
And not one company telling the other, "Hey don't forget about me, you have to make it work for me too, no matter if my product is not as good as yours".
And breaking it up and compartmentalizing it by GB size and type of technology, (Blue-ray) is an even more of an affront.
