Soooo, Is there any way I can get my money back?

Post » Sat Oct 08, 2011 3:53 am

Bought the game on Steam, I know there is likely no chance that I could ever get my money back but seriously this is completely absurd. I was so excited to play this game and have been hyped about it for a good while, and now this happens. It is completely astounding to me that Bethesda and Id have the nerve to release something this broken and incomplete on the market. It's almost class-action lawsuit material. While I feel like I completely wasted $60, I feel like everyone who thinks they deserve their money back should sign a mass petition to Bethesda, so at least they will have a grasp of the raw number of people they have disappointed.

what is broken about the game? i think the game delivers on every level. i am having a ton of fun playing it so far. maybe you should have waited and watched some youtube walkthrough videos before buying it?. there is nothing wrong with the game they released.

Hey there - it's likely you have an ATI video card. If so, you should check out the other forum threads. There are a lot of them with good info on how to get the game running good on ATI cards.

You really shouldn't let a problem at launch pull you off. I'm sure we'll see an official patch/fix soon.

Check the Steam Forums. Some people have got their money back, plus there are alot of posts regarding how to fix the graphics issues.

... He didnt mention hardware, thats a pretty wild guess.

Yes, it is true that problems at launch shouldn't determine something like this. But it's id, it's been in development for 6 years, and there was no demo and whole lot of lies before launch. "open world" I do recall being thrown around.
Please don't cheapen his legit belief that this product was beyond sub par for pc release.

Unfounded remarks, followed by pacified justification does not make his claim any less valid.

The person wants his money back. Saying comments such as you have it running fine when you just read someone says the game is broken and is having problems playing it is not only uncalled for but your asking for an argument due to rubbing in that persons face by saying HAHAHAHAHAHAHA I can play it and you cannot.

Whether you did that on purpose or not IS NOT THE POINT..THE POINT IS that saying something like that is going to do nothing but cause a problem and people need to stop making idiotic comments like that.

While it may be true that this game should have been advertized as a sandbox instead of open world, there is a myriad of examples of other games also doing the same. You have piqued my interest though, would you mind outlining the other 'lies before launch'? Since I do not have the game yet, this could help me decide if I should get it.
