I have an issue where when I either transition to a new area either by loading screen or when the game loads new cells, there is a chance that my sound completely cuts out. Although this affects my system. When the sound cuts out, it cuts it out for my whole computer, all applications. The only way to fix it is to unplug my speakers and replug them back in, which I usually hear a high pitched tone quickly before the sound comes back on. Although to get it back in Skyrim I have to quit the program and relaunch.
I'm using Bose Companion 5 speakers, which is a USB audio system, so no sound card used. All the drivers are updated. I'm not sure what to do. I've made sure the speakers are the default device; when the sound cuts out I disable the device and enable again and nothing happens. I'd really appreciate some help D:
I'm not sure if its the speakers or if its Skyrim, but Skyrim is the only application that my speakers have done this with including other games. I just find it weird that it knocks out my sound system wide. Has anyone else experienced this problem or have any suggestions as to how to fix it?
Also, much more rarely does this occur but sometimes when moving into a new area via the load screen type transition, the new area will load with some extremely weird graphics. Everything is usually like blue, yellow, or pink, and you can't make out models, when I bring up the main menu, you can't even make out the words. Only way to fix is to exit the program and relaunch. I don't know if this is somewhat related or not? The sound problem always happens, anywhere from 15 to 45 minutes into gameplay.
Thanks guys!
