I am stationed in Germany, and recently purchased New Vegas over Steam. Unfortunately Steam only sells the German version of the game (I have a German IP) in Germany, and I can't find anywhere where there is an option to change the language to English even though on Steam's product page it states that the game is available in English, German, and a couple other languages.

Is there any kind of a fix for this? A language pack to download? Anything?

Afternoon, It seems this is due to a issue relating to the enforcement of acceptable violence level.
In Germany they are requried to censor blood/gore and it appears to enforce that if we have a german IP, the bottom line is; game no worky 'auf englisch'!

You can alternatively use a VPN like Gotrusted.com and have an US IP. And no, it's not illegal, after all you have purchased your copy, it's only fair that you can use it...

This won't work, since he already activated a German key.

I would suggest you ask the Steam support for a refund. The only way to buy games from a foreign store here in Germany is to use a credit card from said country. I've been accessing the Irish store for years that way and never had problems with games being cut or anything else.
