I'm a special collector of sorts in skyrim, I try to keep things neat but when it comes to my houses there are rooms that I like to fully personalize with trophies, and one of a kind items. I'm using the upper level of my home as my personal domain.

So far I have:

2/5 - Insects in jars (both on display)

A single Centurion Dynamo Core (On display in that odd iron piece of furniture which I believe is supposed to hold a water jug) [I like its glowy effect/movement]

The Queen Bee Statue - (On Display)

Map of Dragon burials -- (on display on my main table)

Statue of Dibella - (on display on one of the cabinets)

Torsten's / Saerek's skull key (both on display on shelf in room)

I've Reserved Cabinets for collections which have too many pieces to display, or the displays frequently get bugged to the point where I get sick of replacing them all the time:

Bedside Cabinet - Dragon Priest Masks

Drawer(1) - Dragon Bones, Dragon Scales, Skulls, Troll Skulls

Drawer(2) - Key Claws

Safe - Unique Jewellery, or Jewellery which is found with a name

I'm using the book cases to hold mostly items which catch my interest - Writs of Sealing, one of a kind books, Journals of NPCs I like, nystrom's journal ( I'm a huge Katatonia fan)
I've basically stripped the rooms and cabinets of any and all original contents and have been reserving these rooms for special items... and items that catch my interest.


Anyway, there are still many shelves to fill and I plan on stealing most of Delvin's collection after I get paid for giving them to him... I'll also pack away any other interesting one of a kind/interesting/ or rare item come across.

I'm just curious if any one else has been doing anything similar to this. This has been a fun side project keeping me looking into areas I normally wouldn't hoping to find a prized treasure.

Ya I have but I wish there were a ton more book cases. When CK comes out I'm going to make a mod to add a library to my house with empty shelves so i can put one of every book I can get/keep in the game and have them sorted by category like books on the dwemer, books on oblivion, ect ect and I guess a misc section for books that don't fit into a category. Right now I have all my book shelves filled to the grim in my current house and it's got a lot of bookshelf space just not enough.

One thing I really hate is that they can only hold 11 books even though you can fit more in there at times.
