So this is my issue. I was happily wandering around when I bumped into Peryite's Shrine. Bla bla bla, I took the Bob Marley fumes and accepted the quest. Problem starts here. After I took it, I thought it would be amusing to kill the Khajiit that was there. Bad idea. I used the storm Shout on him(don't remember the name of the shout, not important.) He died, I did the quest and after a friend told me I would get Spellbreaker, I happily when to turn in the quest. After talking to Peryite though, I got nothing. Further investigation brought me to know that I may have needed that Khajiit individual to get the shield. He's dead. HELP. Anyone knows of anything I can do?

How about not killing NPC's?
I don't understand this trend of random killings, and the deeply pondered moments of quest breakage.

I killed him before taking off to get the shield and I still got it in the end, you may have to reload to a previous save before doing the quest and try again.

As for why kill him, well, he's a disease spreading a-hole and I got to perform the ritual without using up ingredients.
