Spells Cost Increases After Using Highborn Ability

Just like the title says. . .

I haven't played with magic until just recently when I started using a new Altmer character. She is going to be a pure mage, so I went to the College of Winterhold immediately. There I trained in Alteration and got a Stoneflesh spell.

So, when I got it, I was level 3, with alteration around 30. Stoneflesh cost about 127 magicka (I cannot remember the exact numbers). After I used the highborn ability once, it jumped up to costing 234. I used highborn a second time, and now Stoneflesh costs 437 magicka to use!!!

It seems to only affect spells I use while the highborn ability is active. I tested with the sparks spell, which costs only about 26/sec, and after using highborn it jumped to 54/sec!!!!

I was able to repeat the bug. Luckily, I do not delete any saves and was able to go back to a previous save before I used the highborn ability and all my spell costs are back to normal.

Is this a known issue for anyone else? I wasn't able to pull up anything in search (though, I admit, I am lazy and didn't look beyond the first page of results). And is there a fix?
