Whenever I try and sneak past Elijah the blue forcefield automatically pops up no matter what, how can i fix this? has anyone else had this problem?

You said you're trying to sneak past Elijah, so I assume you're trying to do the cheat that lets you take all the gold from the vault...so me thinks this probably belongs in the cheats section.

The one time I tried that cheat, I just snuck out of the vault and up against the blue force field as soon as the conversation with Elijah closed. When he enters through, you're tossed through the forcefield.

at first i did have the gold, but upon trying later without the gold the forcefield still came up immediately when ever i went near it.

I personally only took 3 bars for decorative purposes. And yes you posted in the wrong section.

So it is possible to sneak past Elijah with all the gold(I didn't take all gold but I was over the weight limit.), hell with a character with bad sneak and no stealth boy.

If you want to kill elijah and escape you can use the forcefield glitch while leaving mines behind you. You walk up to the field and keep walking against it.

Elijah uses his weapon and you two switch places and your inside the forcefield. elijah's outside and dies on the mines.

NOTE: You can't use this way if you leave Elijah alive as the objectives don't update due to you using a glitch and the doors can't be opened

Now of coarse I managed to sneak past him with poor sneak and no stealth boy, without killing him. I trapped him.

The trick is to stay hidden by the generator as Elijah comes from the door and as he does you walk around the gen and make for the door.

Hereby is tricky and timing. I watched videos and yet I couldn't make it to the door without Elijah activating the forcefield several tines.

Patience is especially a virtue here. You want to first not move and see how long it takes for Elijah to make it to the vault door and access the terminal.

Reload, use the timing to get into the door with a second to spare before Elijah's off the terminal and the forcefield starts up and the place starts to destruct.

Takes good timing but it's entirely possible totrap him and take all the gold.
