*SPOILERS* What's the big twist at the Throat of the World?

Post » Sun Jun 03, 2012 9:51 pm

I'm not talking about Paarthurnax. That was a good little surprise. I keep hearing about the bigger one later at that same spot, but I finished the game before and didn't notice anything, really. Was it something to do with the Elder Scroll? Because I found the Elder Scroll WAY before progressing the MQ.

I think they were talking about all the dragons being there after you kill Alduin.

There is nothing in this game which could possibly be regarded as a twist.

Maybe the fact that you fight Alduin even though its not the final boss time yet?

The only supposed twist in the MQ is that the leader of the greybeards is a dragon, which you know.

If you read all the signposts in order you get a 24 hrs bonus related to the shouts. Other than that, I didn't discover any other secret
Oh, there's the notched pickaxe but that hardly count as a *twist*, it's only an Easter egg.

I don't remember exactly... it has something to do with the story of Kyne and the dragons.

The bonus is an effect which makes animals neither attack nor flee from you.

To get the bonus that keeps the animals from attacking you have to have read each of the 10 plaques telling the story of the end of the dragons being defeated by the Voice and Jurgen Windcaller's creation of the Way of the Voice that are on the way up to High Hrothgar.

I suspect the "twist" is what Esbern asks you to do when he finds out about Paarthurnax.

They didn't swear allegiance to anyone, Oda swore allegiance to you and that was it. The rest just watched you returning from killing Alduin.
